It was pretty funny how quickly the shift was from "college campuses should allow vigorous debates without fear" to McCarthy style blacklisting of people for being too pro Palestine. Not that anyone should have been fooled by right wingers actually caring about campus free speech at the time any point.

it was the Dems who went after the college kids.

No one was punished for being pro-Palestine. Some kids violated the code of conduct of their campus by trying to take over buildings and getting forcibly removed, as well as harassing students who did not show visible support.

That doesn’t mean people are getting punished for their beliefs, it’s their actions irrespective of their beliefs.

It's painfully obvious that the shooter was a Nick Fuentes styled groyper white supremacist. Anyone suggesting otherwise is fodder for the kremlin.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal published on Saturday, Utah’s governor, Spencer Cox, said: “It’s very clear to us and to investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”

I'm leaning toward the Kremlin version for now. But that could mean anything from pro trans to anti the guy who helped Trump win. His what seems like a complete lack of political activism for someone of college age - who we now know would go on to do something of this scope - doesn't fit too well with the anti Trump narratives.

Pro Hamas foreigners were targeted for visa revoking because of that, even if they didn't commit crimes.

And it was the proper choice.

What you wrote is correct for american citizens though.

I was talking about what happened under Democrats. I’m not aware of that program starting until Trump. And what counts as “pro-Hamas” we might have disagreements on.

The irony of the left is that a Ukraine BLM supporter die on a bus and still her live wasnt worth changing the perception of victimhood causing this current situation. Now you got a meme internet guy that took matter to his hand clearly support the left cause and now he throw under the bus too by you guys. I am just saying if you want to take matter to your own hand and do something stupid the very same people that you think is on your side wont think you their hero. You just a sacrifies.

no people were punished for expressing any support for Palestine on social media. one person was even deported for simply reporting on some protests. https://www.newyorker.com/news/the-lede/...

Yes I know that Trump and his administration has been bad for Palestinian activists, which is what I warned you all about prior to the election.

This article was not about Democrats (your claim was about Democrats), this was about Republicans.

This past February, I booked a trip from Melbourne to New York, with a layover in Los Angeles, so that I could visit some friends for a couple of weeks. In that time, stories of tourists being detained in and denied entry from the U.S. had begun to regularly appear in Australian media. I began to think about what precautions I should take when crossing the U.S. border. I opted against taking a burner phone—a move that some legal experts had advised, in the press—believing it would provoke suspicion, and simply decided to give my phone and social media a superficial clean.

It is pretty funny that the 2 things you get fired for in the land of the free are either loling at Kirk or opposing genocide.

Please name even ONE person who got fired for "opposing genocide."

Yeah people get fired from real networks for much less. Really represents what that culture has become.

In my opinion he should for sure get fired for that comment. Disgusting.

Conservatives--wth we love rinos now 😀

This thread got nutty really quickly.

by BGnight m

Nice red herring. Benny is just posting facts. Facts don't care who relays said facts.

This was yet another trans shooting instigated by violent leftist rhetoric. The Democratic party at this point is terrorist organization.

I'm a right-wing Republican, but calling the Democrat Party a 'terrorist organization' is ridiculous imo.

(I understand that Victor will agree with you though)

by geezerchess m

What’s disgusting about it? Is it that he is “victim blaming”? I fail to understand how someone giving commentary about the culture of violence that is being created here should mean they should be fired.

Remember that there are many on the right that are saying way worse in the opposite direction, blaming people who had nothing to do with it. Is it just because the guy died that criticizing him is off limits?

Brian Kilmeade said that involuntary lethal injection is a possible solution to homelessness. Should he be fired from his position?

I guess what we should have is just boring fact-based news where no one ever gives their spicy takes on anything. Maybe that should be the standard but it’s not right now, and no one more than Fox News and conservative commentary is more responsible for that. Spicy hot takes and sensationalism are just part and parcel to the media landscape now.

He kind of looks fruity

Casual homophobia aside, WTF? The shooter looks like the most basic-ass straight white dude I've ever seen. What part of his American flag & eagle shirt, baseball hat & shades look screams "kind of fruity" to you? Is there a camp element to this that I'm missing?

Also you can change your sex. Thats a great one

That's why I'm surprised a beaming ray of brilliance such as yourself who just calls balls and strikes forgot to mention that men can become women, etc

Some more reports with trans roommate speculation

I don't think Benny johnson is the conclusive voice on the matter but it does appear extremely likely he lived with a trans and highly likely there's dating/sexuality that didn't mix with his family or kirk

The obsession with smearing transgender people who have never harmed you in the slightest conceivable way and have zero connection to this murder is weird as ****, man. Am I allowed to say that here? It's just ****ing weird.

None for nothing, can't you just ignore SRM? How come the adults are expected to grin and bear hate speech and lies while SRM's spicy retorts get sanctioned?

Tends to happen when the right is on a bender.

Maybe I missed the context of BK's remark, but he seemed to be advocating euthenizing homeless folks, even if they haven't committed a crime.

Making homelessness a capital crime seems a bit over-the-top to me.

Only a bit though.

Making homelessness a capital crime seems a bit over-the-top to me.

The first guy was saying that we've gotten to the point where homeless people either have to accept services or get sent to prison (presumably for crimes like drug possession, vagrancy, etc.). Then BK made the comment about lethal injection, which I took to be referring to the people have have been sent to jail for drug possession, vagrancy, etc.

In other words, I think BK was suggesting legal injection for people who have been convicted of crimes, albeit crimes that would never in a million years justify a capital sentence. The comment was reprehensible and absurd, but I think he stopped just barely short of what you were suggesting.

Who cares what he said when he also says things like "I wish we could blame this on Muslims or migrants, but turns out it was one of us."
