Can we all admit that the majority of extremism is coming from the left over the last handful of years?

By the way can we all finally agree that left-wing cancel culture is dead and now it’s the right that wants to suppress free speech?

It was pretty funny how quickly the shift was from "college campuses should allow vigorous debates without fear" to McCarthy style blacklisting of people for being too pro Palestine. Not that anyone should have been fooled by right wingers actually caring about campus free speech at the time any point.

And there we have it: The gall of the left who only yesterday were trying to gaslight Americans into thinking this guy was a "groyper" who killed Charlie because he wasn't conservative enough.

I don't think Benny johnson is the conclusive voice on the matter but it does appear extremely likely he lived with a trans and highly likely there's dating/sexuality that didn't mix with his family or kirk

We're using your own cancel culture playbook. So many people have been fired over this. I hope the gov't goes after the left so hard it makes McCarthy blush.

Nice red herring. Benny is just posting facts. Facts don't care who relays said facts.

This was yet another trans shooting instigated by violent leftist rhetoric. The Democratic party at this point is terrorist organization.

He kind of looks fruityReports (that may or may not be accurate) said he was the only non conservative in his family2/4 of the casings referenced antifa which is kind of gayAnother casing said something like "lol you're gay" (Just like coordi)Anyways I think all of these shooters are crazy lone wolf types that don't represent either side, yet fall on one. The concerning thing i

I don't think the left and right are even remotely comparable in terms of potential for violence and social upheaval. A Republican government activates ICE to apprehend and deport millions of illegal immigrants and sure there's some extreme violence, quite a bit of moderate violence but nothing like a mass left response. Same with BLM and to a lessor degree with the abortion issue. Those are three of their key pillars and that's the response the left mustered up. Most of which was easily quashed by the government. Contrast that to Harris winning and sending the ATF out there to confiscate millions of assault rifles. You can fill in the blanks but in terms of potential for violence and upheaval I don't think they're even close.

how bout the fact that he was a groyper?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groypers

The Groypers, sometimes called the Groyper Army, are a group of alt-right, white nationalist, and Christian nationalist activists led by Nick Fuentes. Members of the group have attempted to introduce alt-right politics into mainstream conservatism in the United States and participated in the January 6 United States Capitol attack and the protests leading up to it. They have targeted other conservative groups and individuals whose agendas they view as too moderate and insufficiently racist and nationalist. The Groyper movement has been described as white nationalist, homophobic, nativist, fascist, sexist, antisemitic

Groypers are a loosely defined group of Fuentes's followers and fans. After him, there is no clear second in the Groyper hierarchy. Groypers are named after a cartoon amphibian named "Groyper", a variant of the Internet meme Pepe the Frog. [...]

Although Groypers present themselves as defenders of "Christian conservatism", "traditional values", and "American nationalism", their ideology departs sharply from traditional conservative principles. Rather than conserving inherited institutions or practicing prudence and incremental reform, they advance a racialized politics that appeals to xenophobia and resentment. They reject more mainstream conservative organizations as insufficiently nationalist and pro-white, and employ tactics of entryism and radicalization such as gradually introducing their targets to increasingly extreme ideas.

[...] Of the relationship between Groypers and the Republican Party, Fuentes has said, "We are the right-wing flank of the Republican Party". He has summarized his political ambitions by saying, "We have got to be on the right, dragging [moderate Republicans] kicking and screaming into the future. Into a truly reactionary party".

Groyper War

In the fall of 2019, Charlie Kirk launched a college speaking tour with Turning Point USA titled "Culture War" [...] Fuentes began organizing a social media campaign asking his followers to go to Kirk's events and ask provocative and controversial leading questions about his stances on immigration, Israel, and LGBT rights to expose Kirk as a "fake conservative". At a Culture War event hosted by Ohio State University on October 29, 11 out of 14 questions were asked by Groypers.

So a trans roomate means what again? Do they emit murderous gas now?

Hey dipshit, that groyper meme was made AFTER THE FACT. Already debunked.

I'll leave his here:

Your gaslighting already failed. No one with a brain thinks he was a groyper. Nice try idiot.

"100%" just seems premature. Probably just above 90

Anyways, I was here predicting this guy was in the closet before any of the trans reports. It's not like I'm being defiant

by formula72 m

Motive

It has a high probability of relating to motive

Do I need to explain why people want to understand motive?

by formula72 m

not roommate, partner. He was in a relationship with a man who was transitioning (that is, if you believe fox news and the NY post on that).

IF that is true, then that's can easily be the motive. Kirk was one of if not THE biggest personality talking non stop against homosexuals and trans people are aberrations in god's eyes and so on.

New developments!:

This just looks desperate

If another radicalized leftist did something horrific, you're not also guilty of something. Way too tribal. Like at least when I title a thread I realize what I'm doing

Seems like it will end about the same way as it did for McCarthy. The hyper pro Israel thought police is certainly having the inverse effect of what they want.

What am I looking at?

A mentally ill and nihilistic people group that hate Christian families and want them dead.

BGnight will be taking a short vacation.

You guys did great for the first day or so. I suppose I shouldn’t have expected it to last.

It's painfully obvious that the shooter was a Nick Fuentes styled groyper white supremacist. Anyone suggesting otherwise is fodder for the kremlin.

Is it a random bunch of activist or directly related to the kirk shooting?

College campuses SHOULD allow vigorous debate without fear. In fact, I see many of the problems going on with college campuses in the social sciences as being indicative of a severe lack of public defense of the views espoused by professors. However it’s an overcorrection to say that this means we have to go all the way to the other extreme of deporting professors that espouse wrong views. In fact we may have ended up at a problem worse than the original problem.

Certainly I don’t think we should deny that there wasn’t ever a problem on the left (or maybe just with leftish people who didn’t have a coherent politics) of trying to ruin people’s lives because they made a mistake or expressed a wrong political view. I know people will disagree but we all remember β€œaccountability culture”. But now the people who actively seek out people to fire seem to only be coming from one side of the spectrum, and it would be better for all of us if it gets toned down a few notches.

I guess this will only happen if people can admit there’s a problem in the first place, which if they view the mon as righteous then they won’t.
