2026 WSOP!!!
Any excitement yet??
Anyone happen to know if weโll need to get our ID checked again for the WSOP+ app or are we good if
Didn't the same post by Kevmath also say there is zero fee if you use a debit card? You won't get the points etc. using a debit card, but you can get all the convenience at no extra cost.
Interesting. I wonder if my debit card has a limit or not. Let me check.
"Wells Fargo debit card daily limits generally range from $300 to $1, 000 for ATM withdrawals and $1, 500 to $3, 000 for purchases, depending on the account type. These limits reset daily at midnight. You can view or temporarily increase your specific limits via the Wells Fargo Mobileยฎ app or by calling the number on your card."
Anyone remember when online registration started previous years ?
Only 24 days remaining for opening day of the series .
Though my guess is Monday May 4th !
My guess is Tuesday the 5th.
Cinco de Mayo, baby!
I like the way you think though. We are both guessing based on when it happened last year.
Last year it was 05/06 -- the first Tuesday of the month. At least that's what I have in my notes.
I can't wait to spew a buy in or two. Only live once, right? I won't even say how old I am.

โ โฆ.I won't even say how old I am.โ
You are a baby compared to me . I am closer to 80 than 70.
I am also closer to 80 than 70 ... but just barely.
WSOP PLUS is now WSOP LIVE. That threw me a bit. Name of app changed on my iPhone.
Log in same as previously. Lists events and says they are registering but not so. Not yet.
Iโm guessing the fees theyโre actually charged are closer to 3% as that tends to be standard. I wonder if they settled on 2% since it psychologically seems more palatable and is likely the most they can charge without having players potentially not register due to fees.
With WSOP volume it should be more like 1.8%-2.2% but depends on the card . Cards with high rewards such as Amex Plat have higher fees. 2% should be about their cost so at least they aren't marking it up.
The rates at Vanderpump (old Cromwell) have been dropping quite a bit for me. Cosmo keeps going up a little so I may end up giving Vanderpump a shot.
Are you kidding us? The rate was astronomical when I looked at it. Pricier than Bellagio. Are you a billionaire?
Can't read a lot of the text in that photo. Even with half the cashiers it doesn't seem like there'd be room to squeeze registration into Versailles along with the payouts and other desks that are usually there.
They've moved the feature tables to Paris, but I don't like that they're noting the Event Center is for dailies and satellites. That must mean they'll have more bracelet event tables in Burgundy and Provence. Those rooms really suck, they're far too cramped.
Theyโre terrible rooms but Iโm sure they make a lot of money on the dailies and satellites so they donโt want people to avoid registering for them because of the environmental conditions.
They know people will just have to suck it up and play in them for bracelet events if theyโre unfortunate enough to be seated there.
Iโm hoping that maybe they actually did some work on them between last year and this year, but I doubt it.
Last year, there was a huge water leak. I hope they at least fixed that.

I'm not sure what work would make them better. The main issues are that they're a ways from the other rooms and they're too cramped. The only thing they could do about that is to remove a row of tables in order to spread out the others, but that'd be something like a 20% re
The satellites were also 10 handed. Bracelet events are typically 9 handed (with a couple exceptions, I think they might have gone 10 handed for the first levels of a few of the collosus type events when they were low on tables/dealers).
I know if there's a significant chance I get stuck in those crappy rooms and they haven't at least removed some tables, I will skip just about any event and go play somewhere else.
Bracelets are a big draw but those conditions are not worth putting up with.
What is the Group Code for the room discount?
OK, I am being a pest but I am anxious for WSOP LIVE registrations to actually begin. I called up that app just now and it told me it was stale and that I needed the latest version. I did that and installed the latest version. It then had me sign standard waivers to participate. One area it mentioned was Covid-19. If you show signs they reserve the right to kick your ass out of there. Just sayin'. I think I will mask up this year. The last local tournament I played didn't go well -- I caught the flu and couldn't play the next day.
It sounds like players will be able to rate dealers this year. The article says the best rated dealers will receive additional bonuses and rewards, but I wonder if the lowest rated ones will get more training? Some of them need it, even 3 weeks in. I can see a non-0% of players rating dealers based on bad beats, being card dead, random Karen-like complaints and non-poker related reasons, but hopefully it isn't so many that the rating system proves pointless.
Players who tilt at the dealer over bad runouts are a special kind of stupid.
This type of system has potential for abuse.
That being said, any dealer consistently getting low ratings is probably deserving in some respect. I've had some orbit killers at various times in my WSOP forays. The whole table can sense it when the dealer is incompetent.
"Training" is one potential consequence for low-rated dealers. We can also imagine more severe consequences...
Stu Ungar was the poster child for rage directed at dealers.
High IQ low EQ.
It looks like thereโs a 2% fee to use credit cards to register for events this year. I know a lot of people who register using credit cards to get points or cash back or whatever. They wonโt like this Iโm sure
This might be on purpose. If I remember correctly, it pulls your address information from your Caesars account. Verify on your Caesars account that your address is correct, if it's not, update on the Caesar side and I think the WSOP app will update.
Edit: I don't even see my address in the WSOP app

No thatโs not the problem. They are using third world system.
They are asking to buy through CC or debit card.
( ACH is not working).
When you enter a debit card they will say โ the card is not verifiedโฆ.โ And say please go to desk to verify card. And then they would not allow you to change the card or buy through the CC.
As if you are to remember which card was verified previously a year or two ago.
See my comments below regarding using PayPal. I think it bypasses the CC verification issue.
Guys / Gals,
Be ready to hit your head to a wall.
As per WSOP management, you must suffer to the worst frustration to get registered.
What a shame !!
The registration is open but you will get a Nobel
Prize if you can get through!!
The Moto of WSOP management is to give you the most headache every impossible way !!
It was very easy for me to register. Too easy in fact, hit the CC I used from last year and all of a sudden it purchased the ticket. I thought it would have a next confirmation screen. But anyway $1530 for my first $1500 tournament.

Yes, every card has to be verified. So if you use multiple cards or a new card, that new one has to be verified. Use the same one as last year if you want to buy the ticket before getting there. Theres no rush though with this app anyway.
I was able to e-verify. I never paid by CC last year so I will still likely have to wait in line to deposit cash before I can register for anything. Hopefully the lines aren't too outrageous.
Anyway I'm excited! The WSOP is just a few short weeks away!
Do you have a PayPal account? If so you can use that and I don't think the CC would be an issue. See my comment below.

Thanks! Yeah I haven't used it in years, but I should still have an active PayPal account. That's a good option for my first few tournaments if I get there and the lines are horrendous.
It makes no sense to have to be โverifiedโ
What other company in the world makes you veify a credit card before you use it.
ie: So Iโm going to order something on-line and pay by credit card. But the company is based in the opposite coast I live in. I think Iโll go out there, verify my card, then I can come home and order it online! Let me hit the easy button!!
For my WSOP trip I am landing at 9:30am in LV, I want to play an event at 10:00am. It will take a bit before I get to Horseshoe and be ready to play. If Iโm not mistaken ACH is a $100K minimum and there is no other way to prepay before arrival. I know the lines may be minimal, but maybe not and with everyone having to verify they could be real long and Iโm not a super late reg person. They need to nix the โverify cardโ stipulation.
Makes a lot of sense for pre-verification. Since they are allowing Credit purchases of what WSOP is selling (tournament entries), they do not want to have a bunch of charge backs by people disputing CC charges and impacting tourney buyin/prize pool.
Also, I was able to use ACH last year for Colossus $500 buyin. I believe the $100K minimum was for sending a Wire to fund your tourney account.

That still makes no sense since you will still be able to dispute the charge well after the fact. Pre-verification will not stop disputes.
I will look into ACH and see if you can transfer any amount into a "WSOP Live" account without in person verification.

ACH does not have any minimum. You can link a checking account, and money doesn't come out of your account until you purchase a ticket. I think they might have to verify the bank account in person though like they do for a credit card if you've never paid with that method before? I'm not sure about that part, but there's no $100k minimum.
Yay! I'm in. Purchased my ticket for the Monster Stack. No problem-o.
I was concerned that the CC they have on record for me wouldn't match the one I now use after I had to replace it. So, like last year, I used PayPal instead. I was charged a reasonable 2% fee. $1530 total cost. Vegas / Paris here I come!
