2026 WSOP!!!
Any excitement yet??
Anyone happen to know if weβll need to get our ID checked again for the WSOP+ app or are we good if
Satellite and daily deepstack info has been posted to the sidebar on the main schedule page here:
I don't notice any significant changes from last year.
Thx for the link.
I notice that the weekly $250 HORSE event will have 20 minute levels. I canβt seem to locate the structure sheets from last year, but I have a feeling that previously this tourney had a 1/2 hour clock. Otherwise the DD schedule appears identical to 2025β¦.

HORSE 20 min, then 30min FT but sometimes they forgot to do 30 minutes
Rake on $240 landmark satellites has increased to $40. I think it used to be $31
Rake on the 240 and 585s are up a lot percentage wise.
Anyone have any thoughts on how the payouts will work with the new day 2 schedules for events like the Monster Stack? Typically the day 2 min cash is based on the total field size. There is no total field size for day 2 for these events now.

Each flight will be its own separate payouts on day 2 as bubble is on day 2 for MM and Monter. And end with 5%ish field (or less)
Basically same percentage as MB probably minus bounties.
15-10% being 2x and then the payjumps start
Well now we know the hold up in announcing the final table schedule for the Main Event. New TV deal with ESPN

Thatβs great news! CBS Sports just wasnβt the same.
Agreed, I also like the 3 week layoff before they resume the final table. It certainly works to the advantage of anyone over 50. Having talked with locals that have made the top 100 it is a terrible grind and mistakes become critical and more prevalent when players are tired and that is only day 6. Giving players a couple week break should only improve final day play.
Anyone else have this problem? It seems like damned near every time I play a tournament I catch something and I don't mean cards. I was supposed to play a local flight 1C today but I can't. Playing a satellite several days ago and two flights Thurs and Fri I am now coughing my lungs out with the flu or a nasty cold. I am 76. Do old people's immune system go to shit in their 70's? I will either have to mask up like a surgeon or give up this game. Several years ago I played the Monster Stack and caught covid. Poker tournaments are a vortex of contagion.

Yeah I'm younger and I get sick a lot playing poker too, especially when you're in big events with people from all over. Wearing an N95 mask could be a solution for your situation.
I am going to have to mask up for sure. Very inconvenient and uncomfortable but the alternative for me is sickness. Usually a cold but this last time the flu. Extreme chest congestion, loss of appetite, achy-ness and the need to sleep most of the day.

also sooooo many people are nasty pigs that cough or sneeze right into their hands and then handle cards/chips, when it's literally exactly as easy to cough or sneeze into your elbow or armpit. I really don't understand it, choosing to slobber/snot up stuff that everyone is handling for absolutely no gain

If the nasty pig makes everyone else at the table so sick that they are unable to return to Day 2 of the event, then the pig does gain.

One thing I realized years ago is that when I went through extended periods of dehydration (never feeling thirsty but not hydrating nearly enough as you should) that my dried sinuses produced more mucus that would go down the back of my throat and cause a sore throat and headaches. It would deteriorate worse as I cleared my throat and coughed and the mucus would eventually upset my stomach. I was basically simulating a cold just because I wasnβt drinking enough water. So I have a daily routine now in which I just force myself to chug a few cups of water early in the day and throughout the day (and Iβm religious about the routine on poker days and chug water 40 minutes before each break).
Iβm wondering if youβre sometimes experiencing symptoms and side effects of dehydration yourself without even realizing it.
Some more pro tips on sinus care (as someone who has had issues over the years):
Dry sinuses = problems. They swell and constrict nasal passages which then causes lack of drainage, leading to cold/inlfammation/mucus build up/possibly viral infections
Use a nasal moisturizer gel, like Ayr. Find it everywhere.
Drink water.
Bring portable humidifier for your hotel room. Theyβre relatively inexpensive, can fit in suitcase and go a long way to improving sleep and your sinus irritation in dry places like Vegas. I let it run around the clock even when out of the room and even a smaller unit helps in the room.
Just got spousal approval for late June Vegas trip so looking at hotel rates for 6/28 to 7/3 - using Caesars website I got all 5 nights comped at Flamingo (am base Gold and have never been comped anywhere before) - must pay resort fees and taxes so works out to $54 per night. I know many look down at Flamingo but I have been staying there for at least a couple of nights regularly since the 90's and other than the messy check in I am comfortable there - easy walk to Horseshoe.
Weird thing is that if you use the WSOP rate to search the Flamingo won't show up as a choice. Must delete it. Were some others showing comp nights but I didn't investigate.
I like the Flamingo. I find the rooms to be a little more stylish than Harrah's, Horseshoe, or LINQ. The location is good. I'm not saying anyone is wrong if they prefer to stay on-site during the WSOP, but for my personal needs it's overrated. Flamingo is close enough. My only major gripe with the joint is that their automatic check-in kiosks have often been down in my experience, forcing me to wait in line for 30-45 minutes. Not how I want to start my Vegas vacation. Usually at Harrah's I can just swipe my ID and check in instantly. Small nitpick though and maybe they've improved the process since I last stayed there.
Every ****ing time I try and use those kiosks their down. We stopped staying there since luckily my girl is 7 stars and gets Paris/Horseshoe etc comped. But that relationship is in jeopardy of making it til WSOP so Flamingo....here I might be coming!
WSOPPeddie,
Did you really ask if people in their 70s immune system starts getting weaker? People are so ****ing gross at the table, and im faaaar from a hypocondriate (sp?) . Dude at my table recently was just outright digging in his nose before making a bet. Im so dumbfounded I didnt know whether to call him out.
Also, vegas is so dry that it'll make you feel sick if youre not used to that climate. The poster above is half right, youre not dehydrated per-say but Def drink and eat healthy and take allergy medication. Get good sleep or youll naturally feel worn down
We're not fucking going this year. Boycotting Vegas and it's overpriced mediocrity.
Waiting for them to correct their ways or till the reservoirs dry up and they have to move somewhere else.
For those going, I sincerely hope you enjoy yourself, run good, take something down, and wake up next to someone incredibly ugly because you were blackout when you met them.
You just have to adjust your game to exploit villain.
Stay off strip or in a VRBO/AirBnB. Go to the grocery store and stock up on food to make/eat yourself in your room. Get alcohol from the store, if thatβs your thing, and drink in the room before going out then bring a to-go cup of whatever to sip on while out. Stick to gambling with poker only and avoid the high table minimums and bad odds they give you at blackjack and roulette now.
Easy game.
Ha ha is right, you figured me out. I say this exact same thing every year and every year I just have to go. Monster Stack here I come!

I figured you out because I am Super Sr (:
I will be playing opening event ( Mini Mystery) and Monster Stack.
Hopefully we can meet !
I am much older than you kid π
I keep tracking hotel rates on the strip for the WSOP time stretch and they aren't coming down. Are they wanting us to make up for the reduced visitor traffic to Vegas? We are a captive audience. BTW, my next prediction? Online event registration will begin May 5th. Cinco de Mayo, baby. That's three weeks from today. That should boost enthusiasm for the WSOP, which seems to be in short supply right now. Not with these high prices for everything.

WSOPPeddie please try MGM properties, Luxor is offering very cheap rates .
Regarding a few recent comments...
I just stayed a few nights at the Flamingo a week ago. Not a fan. My room was overlooking the Linq promenade, with loud thumping bass notes audible on the 18th floor. I also didn't like how long a walk it was from my room to the taxi/rideshare pickup. I always stay at the Horseshoe for the series, as I find the rooms just fine, quiet, easy access to the WSOP itself, and easy access to the rideshare pickup for when I need to go elsewhere. A drugstore right out front, walkable to Venetian and Aria without having to be out in scorching heat too long, a refrigerator in the room, all good. If I'm playing in the Horseshoe rooms I can make it to my room and back during breaks for a private bathroom break and to restock my bag if needed.
As for travel tips, I made my stays much more bearable a couple years back when I ordered a mini Keurig coffee maker that I can fit in my carry-on bag along with a mug. No more insanely priced coffee that requires throwing on clothes to trek down to the casino and wait in line.
I also discovered - thanks to some discussion on this forum - saline nasal spray this last trip. It worked wonders for helping keep my sinuses from getting crusted up, and I think that improved my sleep. I'm guessing a humidifier would help even more, but I don't think I could fit one of those in my suitcase.
I am forced to use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Luckily, it has a built in humidifier function. Living in the Phoenix area I am used to dealing with the dry desert air. I like the food court at the Horseshoe. I get breakfast there and when I am done I get a tuna sub that I bring back to my room and deposit in the 'fridge. That's my dinner. No standing in line during the dinner break. I will have to try that saline nasal spray too.
Clavain,
You can easily fit one of those smaller humidifiers (look at amazon) in a suitcase. Itβs a staple on my Vegas/Nevada trips. Does a good job keeping humidity in the room. You can purchase for $30-40 easily. Canβt recommend enough for improved sleep quality and overall feeling with one in the desert.
Got email today from

Little questionable. It says
From : Ceasars
And the email says : [email protected]
Did you notice the different spelling of Caesars !!!
It says from _Ceasars_
Some kind of Scam ?
It also says you can register now. But registration is not working.

Search for "bottle humidifier". Cute little device that screws onto a water bottle. If you use a wide bottle or hack a longer wick, it'll run overnight. Tip: turn upside down to drench the wick before turning on.
There's also a design where the bottle goes upside down like a water cooler, which probably works better (I don't have one) but is also a bit larger.
