2026 WSOP!!!
Any excitement yet??
Anyone happen to know if we’ll need to get our ID checked again for the WSOP+ app or are we good if
If I am not wrong, Last year WSOP waived the fees !
Is that correct or my memory is completely gone
Yes, they waived CC Fees last year, there has been no update I'm aware of for this year as to whether they will continue that this year.
Their site currently says
Are there any fees for online ticket purchases?
A. Fees may apply depending on the payment method. Credit card payments may incur a processing fee; other methods may not.
No, I'm pretty sure I read that you won't need to re-verify if you did so last year.
Yeah, either in an article or the site, they said if you are using the same payment method, you don't need to re-verify
No fees this year
Boycott WSOP Circuit! With tournament rake over 20% even in $300+ events is proof of fact! All WSOP circuit should be boycotted! I don’t know how anyone thinks they can beat 20+% tournament rake, the pro and semi pro’s are losing the most money. Why don’t pros form a union and boycott the high rake? I’ve met too many players who gladly pay 25% WSOP rakes and they violently defend it when I present my opinion!!! Are poker players really desperate gambling addicts or simply dumb???

I support people’s right to play where they want to play. As long as the rake is transparent, adults can decide whether or not they want to play it.
What do you think casinos would do with poker rooms if some sort of “union” was made that limited their rake?
People don’t support your idea because it’s stupid and detrimental to poker.
Agree with dr meh, feel free to vote with your feet. It's really only the lowest buy in events that are that bad. The problem is poker buy ins have not kept up with inflation, if it did there probably wouldn't be any tournaments under $500 or 1-2/1-3 NL any more. Even though they have high rake I doubt poker rooms are making much on small buy in tournaments.
Lol at a union. I do approve of you trying to get pros and semi pros to boycott the low buy in tournaments, I support that movement.

Someone mentioned registering and as far as I could see you can do so right on the app. So out of curiosity I hit register to see what happened and I got taken to a page to set up my account and what not. I had one from last year but I guess since I updated the app, it logged me out and I dont know what it was. Either way, I forgot all this and next thing I know, i created a new account and im wondering if ill be able to use the old one. I guess it took no new information so as long as i can remember my user name it shouldn't be an issue.
Anyway, it appears you can register right now if you are already verified. Interesting that while it is still a couple months(!!!) Away, nobody has done so yet.
WSOP circuit events do have horrible rake and structures. Have you guys played in these things?
Many of the events have 20 or 25 minute levels, and they skip some key levels to sustain maximum buyin churn just before the end of the rebuy period. I wouldn't necessarily even complain about the rake if the structures were reasonable.
Just looked at one example structure, the so-called "mini main, " which is similar to most of their $400 and $600 events. All afternoon flights have 20 minute levels.
30, 000 starting stack with rebuys until the start of level 13.
Level 8 blinds are 600/1200, or 25 big blinds for a starting stack.
By the start of level 13 when rebuys end, blinds are 2000/4000, or 7.5 big blinds for a starting stack
So in 80 minutes it goes from a somewhat reasonable blind level where you can still play poker at level 8, to just flipping quarters with less than 8 big blinds.
The events are designed to get people to buy in over and over, especially during this key period at the end of the rebuy period.
It's ridiculous that they're allowing buyins with 7.5 big blinds after more than 2/3 of the field has been eliminated, especially considering they're paying 15%.

I’m guessing the payment processes aren’t available yet. I thought it odd that nobody has signed up for anything at this point and I’m guessing that’s why. I don’t want to try it to test my theory because I’m scared I might mess something up.
Actually, I’m revising my theory.
Even though they said if you verified last year, you won’t need to do it again this year, the app still says “verification needed.”
Someone mentioned that on X and they said the app would be updated at some point so it doesn’t say that.
So my new theory is: since the app says people aren’t verified, they’re not able to register. Until they fix the app issue, people won’t be able to register.
@GreatWhiteFish I don’t disagree with you about the poor structures in the low buy‑in Circuit events. I’m about 30 minutes from Harrah’s Pompano, which has a Circuit stop, and the structure of the lower buy‑ins is exactly why I skip them. They also don’t draw great fields.
For me, structure and rake are two separate issues. One thing the other poster didn’t mention is that part of the “fee” is actually the built‑in tip for staff. Some people here probably remember when the fee was purely rake and players who cashed were expected to tip separately. Now the tip is included in the entry, so the listed fee looks higher even though not all of it goes to the house.
Fees have gone up because tournaments now include dealer/staff tips across all buy‑ins. It’s still a “fee, ” but it’s not 100% rake.
I can’t find a clean breakdown for WSOP Circuit events, but here’s an example from the Hard Rock in Florida, where I play a lot. One of their $400 events lists:
“$330 entry fee will be used to fund the prize pool. $70 is the registration fee, of which $25 goes toward staffing fees.”
In that case, the actual rake is $45 — about 13%. The additional $25 is the built‑in tip. Because of that, most of us don’t tip anymore when we cash, since we’re effectively tipping every time we enter.

This is the email I received from WSOP+ Support when I inquired about Credit Card fees being waived again this year.
Subject: RE: WSOP 2026 tournament entry fees
Hello XXXXXXX,
Thank you for reaching out.
To our knowledge, the non-fee credit card option should be available. However, as there is still time before the series begins, the payment systems have not yet been fully finalized.
We recommend checking again closer to the event date for the most up-to-date information.
Best regards,

To me the issues are intertwined. The horrible structures give you less value for the rake you do pay. Like for that "mini main" the structure sheet says 40 minute levels on day 2.
However only 5% of the field makes day 2 and even then the first couple levels of day 2 were still 30 minute levels in the last one I played.
The WSOP circuit tournaments pretty much succeed only because they have the WSOP name attached.
Anyway sorry for the derail. Summer WSOP is much better IMO.
I basically received the same answer from WSOP support as I was given by WSOP + app support.
So Credit Card fees MAY apply this year for purchase of event entries --- probably not ---- but no formal decision has been made.

Hello XXXX,
Thank you for reaching out.
Last year in Las Vegas, credit cards could be used to purchase entries through the WSOP+ app with no fees. At this time, we do not have information regarding whether the same fee policy will apply for the upcoming 2026 series.
Best Regards,
WSOP Support Team

I'd be kind of surprised if you were able to create a new account with the same Caesars number. (but different email addresses?) If you were, it might mean you have a duplicate account. I had this situation last year because I created a WSOP+ account when it was first unveiled in the winter, but then created a new account in the summer near the start of the WSOP. It took a bit of time at the rewards desk, but they were able to make sure only one WSOP app account was tied to my Caesars Rewards account.

Great effort Mr. Real McCoy . I think it will be same as last year.
I am HOPEFUL that is the case but it is NOT official yet - I think we can expect no fees but Kevin Mathers is correct that NOTHING has been announced or made official policy yet.
Seeing hotel rates going up, not down, for the WSOP stretches I am interested in. I'll keep checking.
I miss clicked when I booked my hotel room at the Horseshoe a few weeks ago, it says i get a room assigned on arrival. Which room types do I get usually at this rate? If I rebook now it costs me 500$ more so i think i have just hope for the best😅
Typically you get a basic two queen or standard resort King room - Its even possible they upgrade you to a strip view room. It really does depend what they have available. Personally at check in I ask for a King, room with a view of the SPHERE (Hi roller View maybe ?) and not near the elevators (and I always just book "room available" ). They have always accommodated me without an issue and ask how high I want to be in the Hotel and if I have any other preferences. I'm nothing special but I am Diamond so that may help at check in since it is a separate check in area and not the big front desk . Personally I wouldn't sweat it in the least and I sure wouldn't pay an additional $500 unless you really wanted a Studio King suite which is about 1/3 bigger than the standard King resort room.
Hotel rates going even higher. Are bookings that strong? Indication of strong attendance or just Caesars greed? The WSOP26 'discount' code remains a joke. They are also playing the game where this 'discount' is not available for weekend or high demand dates.
Just did my weekly check of rates and currently PARIS is MUCH cheaper than the Horseshoe for the June14-26 and June 28 -July 3rd. its $1350 Horseshoe and $845 Paris. No code used but I am a Diamond so no resort fees in either set of numbers. That is the HIGHEST I have pulled up for the Horseshoe since I started checking back in October 2025.
