Chicago co-founder and reed player, Walt Parazaider dies at 81 of Alzheimers. He stopped touring with the band in 2017. I got to see them in 1977 at full strength, only months before the death of vocalist/lead guitarist Terry Kath. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. RIP
Well, when Kath died, they lost their real "rock" guy. And Cetera was a helluva bass player and vocalist....but yes, once they started into easy-listening territory, they lost someting. The songs aren't bad, but they can't touch that early stuff.
