USA Goes to War Against Iran

Time for a dedicated thread to the war.

How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?

Maybe nato should step in to open the strait.

Nato countries should step in and create a sustainable source of energy for their people that isn't at the mercy of geo political dick waving. The dominance of the strait is going to deteriorate with the rise of alternative energy anyways. This isn't 2002 anymore.

A large majority of NATO countries get a higher percentage of their energy requirements from non-carbonized sources than the U.S. does, and many get a much higher percentage.

Not at all surprising that a date-rapist would be devoid of any and all compassion.

This part of the world deserves what it gets.

Also, you’d be wise not to accuse me of date-rape again.

Oh shut the **** up, mong.

An homophobic and a date-rapist walk into a bar...

As you know, I've never called you a date rapist because I don't think you have explicitly admitted to anything that meets the legal definition of rape.

That said, what exactly are you threatening to do to lagtight or anyone else? In other words, what will happen if people ignore your warning?

I’m not threatening to do anything. God will deal with those who libel against myself or Mongidig.

Can a mod answer why this sort of **** is allowed to clutter up threads?

The majority wanted an exceeding light touch on moderation, including you as I recall.

A light touch doesn't mean no touch at all

I want a light touch on content

That doesn't mean I believe that people should be allowed to post content-less noise.

If I posted "blah blah blah blah" every third post I would be quickly banned and that is the equivalent of what SRM does and now others are now joining in.

Counterpoint: Victor isn't banned either.

I post content and make far fewer personal attacks than anyone else

Victor's posts are at least political in nature even if sometimes repetitive. But the extent that they are repetitive is no where near as frequent as SRMs.

Regardless of whatever specific nuance you preferred, the overall sentiment was in the direction of a near free for all. That approach usually lowers the signal to noise ratio.

This is true. This was mostly due to over moderation by a single individual in here. People should have the freedom to express their opinion without fear of getting banned. I don’t think this should apply to constant mean spirited attacks that add nothing to the conversation.

Yes but there should always be a little nuance to decisions like this. Had certain attacks happened on one or two occasions who care’s? I know I’m not a rapist so it doesn’t bother me. When it becomes part of a posters shtick and starts to effect other posters that’s when it needs to be looked into. Ultimately, decisions should be made that are in the best interest of the forum. Policies don’t need to always be black and white they just need to make sense.

It is not at all clear to me that you would benefit from decisions that are in the best interests of the forum.

You're not even trying to keep the lie going, lol.

A large majority of NATO countries get a higher percentage of their energy requirements from non-carbonized sources than the U.S. does, and many get a much higher percentage.

That is the problem. Non carbon energy sources are generally less efficient, less mobile, and less available on demand. The technology just isn't there to justify the political decisions that have been made when it comes to energy.

Also, is this counting the tremendous amount of blackmarket Russian carbon based energy many NATO countries still demand?

This is a segue, but when you look at the monetary breakdown of money spent on defense it is really incomprehensible to me how unable European countries are generally to project any power relative to money spent.

France says it is going to greatly expand its military spending. But I dont even really see why, unless to stimulate their economy. Regardless of how much they spend or what they spend it on, they seemingly are either unable or unwilling to project any military power. They have mostly let themselves get kicked out of Africa, and now Lebanon is mostly sidelining them in favor of Turkey and US.

Your personality and physical attributes are so revolting and unattractive to women that you need them to be intoxicated for you to even have a chance at physical intimacy with them.

At best, you’re a pathetic ****ing loser that no one wants anything to do with. At worst, you’re a date rapist. **** off you piece of ****.
