Let's give Timmy the benefit of the doubt and say he is playing slots with an edge. That's still not the brag that they think it is. Hes a vulture spending 12 hours per day walking around hundreds of casinos hoping to find +EV spots that have been left for him by recreational gamblers.

He is dependant on machines being left in a state with positive expectation. A professional poker player or BJ player on the other hand can go sit down at any table in any casino and be profitable. In other words, they can generate their own EV sitting at the table without having to spend 12hrs lurking around every casino in Las Vegas like a vulture. Professional BJ is the best of all as you don't require any other losing players whatsoever. You generate your EV just by putting in volume at the table.

I happened to stumble across a youtube that suggests cheap towns in AZ to live in. They might be good places for Casino Nomad to live, both to get away from Vegas, and to lower his cost of living. Yet, if his gambling addiction gets the better of him, there are lots of Indian casinos within a couple hours drive.

Don't forget paying out $4500 for a booth at Enchant Christmas when the product you sell may profit a few bucks before work/time cost to make them and man the booth. So you have to sell over 2000 units just to breakeven at an event you have no idea whether it's worth it or not. And as I've mentioned before, even if it was wildly successful, you are capped at how much product you can produce since it's all handmade at home in their small kitchen.
