President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
Just wish to congratulate the mods for banning that useless weirdo Laggy/geezer
''I read the paragraphs, I read very well, great comprehension''.
Orange man - Feb 20, 2026
He's very good at reading language.
I watched most of his tariff rant. He alternately railed on the decision and then said the court gave him even more power than ever. Apparently the 6 that made the decision are "slimeballs." I also think he broke his own lies per second record. I don't think I could even do cliffs in less than 1,000 words. It was painful to watch.
I swear I just cannot get over how incredibly stupid and horrible this guy is and how incredibly stupid and horrible our country is for voting for him. I'll never ever understand it.
Kim Jong Trump at it again.

A new banner was unveiled on Thursday at the Department of Justice (DOJ) with a large image of President Trump.
I would either stay home or vote for someone other than Trump.
What's with the ghetto talk? You hangin' with "30 wild niggaz"*?
That is correct.
Not an especially likely scenario though.
*lyric from the song 'Fukk Outta Here'
I feel like him saying “Fukk Outta Here” is “ghetto talk” is more offensive than him saying the N word lol
That is my question Is the supreme court saying the president can not impose tariffs without approval from congress or is it saying this about the blanket tariffs . So take soft wood lumber Biden imposed tariffs on that as did Trump is that legal?
I can't read the opinion for you. I told you that the opinion was limited to whether IEEPA authorized Trump to issue these tariffs. I don't know what else to say. Interesting that you felt comfortable offering an opinion on the decision without having read it and without any apparent understanding of what it did or didn't say.
Ever tried collecting money from the government?
Yes. Is this a trick question?

You really need "whatabout" for your undertitle.

Right, it didn’t say that the IEEPA doesn’t authorize Trump to issue any tariffs at all, just not the ones that he imposed. The IEEPA has been used before to impose other tariffs that were undoubtedly constitutional.

Ill let the lawyers read it and interpret it thanks
Trump is asked if the Supreme Court justices who’ve displeased him today are still invited to next week’s State of the Union. “Barely,” he said. “Honestly, I couldn’t care less if they come.”
Asked if he was surprised by Friday’s Supreme Court decision, Trump basically says that yes, he was, because he read all there was to read about the case and thus felt confident he was on solid ground. “I read very well, great comprehension,” he said. “I read everything there is to read.”

I quoted this earlier lol, what a bizarre thing to say in public. Buddy just gave himself a pat on the back for ''reading well''.... Bizarre.

In 2016 Trump won because his opponent was Hilary Clinton and the democrats had won the prior two terms and Republicans were furious and Independents hated Hilary especially because of what she tried to avoid in Africa when she was Secretary of State and then the whole email thing that the FBI reopened like 10 days before the election. Hilary also failed miserably when Bill Clinton was President and she was given the project of creating health insurance for everyone and she refused congressional help and it never got anywhere. Republicans who are also Entertainment stars typically win in close elections. Schwarzenegger won Gov in CA as did Reagan (who also won 2 terms as president). The famous wrestler won Governor in MN. I personally think that Barry Sanders would have won against Trump and I also think that Hilary Clinton probably would have lost against McCain in 2008 (though it would have been very close).
In 2024 no Democrat was going to win. There was massive inflation as a result of Covid and choices that were made by Trump and Biden to spend Trillions to save businesses. The shutting down of the border in 2020 also contributed to the US inflation under Biden in his first year, that was basically worse than most industrial nations. But by 2022 the US inflation rate was lower than every other industrial country because Biden reopened the border and we actually had enough immigrants who worked on farms. Still because inflation was still high by 2024 (higher than 2019) Biden was blamed. The fact that Biden didn't step down before the primaries was ultimately why Kamala had no chance. She would likely have not won the primary because she had basically done nothing as VP and was a one term Senator. And she was going to act like Biden did fine as she repeatedly said during the election or at least avoided ever criticizing him. Not sure if Gavin Newsome would have been able to win or Pete Buttigieg or if MI governor Gretchen Whitmer but ultimately Trump made it about immigration which is haunting all industrial countries (in England the conservatives won and withdrew from the EU so immigrants wouldn't be allowed into the UK if they had been allowed in to any other EU country).
The other reason Trump won was that nobody believed he was going to succeed in shutting down Obamacare as he failed his first term. And then Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski allowed it to happen when either of them could have prevented it.
Is tonight a full moon or something?
So did the administration tell the supreme court to go **** itself?
the irony here is it's not laggy but you who will be eating yet another permaban but you'll be back in a month under some new "hey what is this forum?" once again - surprised you even made it a year this time around
His post didn't bother me. I wanted to hear more about his black boss/friend/guy he helped get hired.
The administration has realized that preparations A thru G were a complete failure and is moving on to Preparation H.
I swear I just cannot get over how incredibly stupid and horrible this guy is and how incredibly stupid and horrible our country is for voting for him. I'll never ever understand it.
What don't you understand? It's obvious from abroad - just look at the polls that show how many Americans thought that Joan of Arc was Noah's wife, or who couldn't place Canada on a map. Americans have a well earned reputation abroad for being the most ignorant people on the whole planet and kept in ignorance so that the US can continue to go about its "business" abroad without internal dissent.
Your population is deliberately dissuaded from analytical thought and from persuing independent facts by its education system and media. The messaging it receives from a young age is that the US is the greatest goddamn nation on earth and probably the greatest ever, that it won WW2 virtually single handedly and has a mandate to spread its superior form of democracy throughout the world by using as much force as necessary regardless of the death toll. Most of the libs have even bought into this bs. How many kids grow up to challenge this? Very few.
there's a couple options but it's not crystal clear nor important
nobody just happens to come across a dead poker forum and then oddly chooses to not only signup for the place but then exclusively post politics not poker... why is it again you didn't go to a politics forum?
these are always recycled accounts who can never learn to act like an adult nor quit us
and that's very specifically a 2p2 term of old - yes it is part of the old chat of cash games as well but it's very much an og 2p2 term
