2026 WSOP!!!
Any excitement yet??
Anyone happen to know if we’ll need to get our ID checked again for the WSOP+ app or are we good if
Mini mystery millions to kick it off….going to have 20, 000+ players is my guess
For sure. I think the $1K million dollar bounty had 18, 000.
I did things backwards this year and just booked the most convenient dates for me rather than waiting on specific events. As a NLHE player, I know that almost any window will have plenty of options to choose from. On days when there's nothing interesting at WSOP, there are always NLHE tournaments running elsewhere.
Looks like I will play a Milly Maker flight and maybe the $500 Salute. If I want to branch out into mixed games, there's a $1500 2-7 triple draw in my window. I can try between now and then then to brush up on my skills in that variant.
Last year the Salute fell on what was day 2 of the Monster Stack, meaning most people who bagged the Monster Stack either didn't play the Salute or hopped in very late. I noticed that the player pool felt weak, possibly because so many of the strong players were tied up in the $1500. This year the Salute will fall on day 2 of the Milly Maker, so will be a good one to target again if you are looking for value. Many of the strongest would-be players will be busy with the Milly day 2. Apart from that, it's just a quality event to play in general. Big starting stacks and slow levels, with a wide variety of opponents.
I was happy to read that WSOP is going to do a free stream for the Main, as I think this will help pull casual viewers back into the poker sphere.
I didn’t see anything about the stream. Do you have a link?
I think 2-7 triple and single will have a big year this year. I know my interest has gone up a lot in that variant and I don’t think I’m alone. Won’t be close to NLHE but I wouldn’t be surprised if they have record turnouts.

It's right there in the announcement. And I was wrong, it's not a Main Event stream. It's for the WSOP in general, bringing coverage to the entire series. Looks like the Main itself will still be paywalled though.

The $10, 000 Main Event & Free Daily Stream
As always, the centerpiece of the summer is the $10, 000 No-Limit Hold'em World Championship, better known as the ‘Main Event’, which begins on Thursday, July 2. Play will proceed until the final table is reached on July 13, with specifics on the Main Event final table play dates and broadcast coverage to be announced at a later date.
To bring WSOP action to a wider international audience for free, a daily stream will be broadcast live on the official WSOP YouTube channel from May 26 through to the start of the Main Event. This daily broadcast will showcase the new and improved TV set in Paris Las Vegas and feature some of the game’s most recognizable commentators.
I will be curious to see if they waive CC fees again this year. Last year this was a huge deal and pretty much the only reason I registered with a linked account instead of bringing cash. I am certain they made more money by waiving these fees than they would have if they didn't since they only have to improve their attendance by some 2% to make up the lost fees. Hopefully, they will continue to do so.

If not, PayPal is always a fee free option
I like that, I just wonder how they can do it.
Right, I just couldn't understand how or why they could do it for free.
They did it in order to incentivize people to fire more bullets using the app instead of bringing cash and having to stand in lines. I think it was a success and worth the cost to them (probably ~2%). My understanding is they will once again be waiving the fees, though I don't have an official statement to point to. As usual, this sort of critically important information is not necessarily made plain for all to see right away.
The WSOP website schedule has each of the Day 1's of the Main Event starting at 11am, while the GG app has each day starting at noon. Come on guys, you've had 7 months to get this right. Which one is correct? Also, I cant find any info on Days 2 through the FT. Is it structured the same as last year??? GG GG, lol.
The all-on-one structure sheet has all the subsequent day info on it. It also has an 11:00 AM start listed for all days, with the exception of Day 3, which - no kidding - states BOTH an 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM start time. So...yeah...clear as mud. If they did move the start time up to 11:00 AM, I wonder what their reasoning was.
As someone who generally prefers NLH tournaments in the $1, 000 - $2, 000 range, I was most interested to see if there were further changes to the Monster Stack and Millionaire Maker tournaments. And boy were there. They added additional starting flights each of the last two years, and this year they've made an even bigger change. Instead of all flights combining for Day 2, each flight will have its own Day 2 the next day, with payouts starting on Day 2. So you could play Flight A, make it to Day 2, and if you don't make Day 3, you could enter Flight C the next day (or late reg Flight B for that matter). It also would seem that you could now potentially cash an earlier flight, and if you don't bag chips for Day 3, re-enter a later flight. It will be interesting to see how many more entries this change generates. It should make the first couple flights more appealing to players who are willing to fire multiple bullets, especially those players who are budgeting just 1 re-entry.
I also noted the new $1, 700 "Circuit Championship" event, which is a curious name since this isn't a circuit event. I find the price point and 40k/40 minute structure very appealing, though it's too early in the schedule for me to be able to play it this year.
I'm happy to hear we don't have to re-verify, and curious to see what the circuit event is that they say will be running 7/14 - 7/25.
Yeah, everything I said about the Salute being soft because of the day 2 Milly Maker interaction is mostly moot because there are actually four day 2s for that event now, meaning the overlap will be minimal.
Without wanting to be too much of a whiny curmudgeon, I'll argue that more flights and more opportunity for re-entry mostly benefit the pros and not the tourists. Now if a pro cashes and busts day 2A/2B/2C of the Monster/Colossus/Milly, they can potentially jump right back in and hunt day 3 again.
It's going to juice the prize pools and field sizes, but also ensure that the day 3s are loaded with killers.
It just keeps getting spread out. I’m struggling to find 7 day windows to play multi events. Most of the big field events cover about 10 days if you are trying to play two.

Unfortunately this is absolutely true. I also just noticed that the Monster Stack now specifies that there is 1 re-entry per flight. In the past you could only enter each flight once. So in the span of 3 years we've gone from 2 flights with max 2 bullets to 4 flights with a max of 8 bullets. Tourists are highly unlikely to budget for more than one or two bullets, so all those additional re-entries will indeed be coming from high-bankroll players that will predominately be pros. The WSOP learned from the Paradise just how willing pros are to fire many bullets in pursuit of a big payday, so it's little surprise they're targeting them with moves like this.
Well of course they changed the dates for the Monster Stack, forcing me to rebook my Horseshoe reservations at a higher price. The other laugh is that when I tried using the WSOP26 code the cost came back even higher.
Does anyone know of a site computes S Points for the 2026 schedule?
It looks like the one I had for previous years is dormant.

Doesn't have 2026 yet, but I imagine it won't be long before there are at least WSOP events listed, with the other series following within a few days of releasing their schedules and structures. Or if you're impatient, you can use the calculator to figure them out on your own. WSOP structures for regular events rarely change from year to year, so if there are particular events you're interested in that isn't new this year, you could find last year's.
Just and FYI to interested people looking for decent Hotel prices- HORSESHOE rates have dropped DRAMATICALLY in the last couple days almost 50% of what they had been. Who knows how long it will last but if you have been holding off booking I would suggest you check now. Paris is also down but by a lesser degree. Good luck - no need to over pay for a convenient bed.
Still crazy high prices for me. I’m starting to take it personally now. Maybe they realized I don’t play slots or other casino games so they’re going to screw me over on prices.
I'm not seeing that at all. Much higher prices for moi.
As always "your mileage may vary" and when checking again now Horseshoe rates have popped back up about 25% for the period I track (June 14th -June26th) Total stay cost was including taxes (no resort fees) was $453 and just now it is $563. Still they showed me as high as $792 a few weeks ago. Again for ME the June 28th - July 3rd has stayed the same (comped) since I have been watching the rates back in Oct 25. This might be my last year as Diamond although I will book again in the fall to make sure I get those resort free rates for 2027 (yes I am able plan that far ahead) . I wish everyone was as lucky as I have been but as I have previously stated Hotel rates are just a big game to me that I like to win at. It basically pays for 1 $1, 000 tournament entry every year so its worth the time and effort. Also I only watch 3 Caesar's properties Horseshoe, Paris, and Cromwell. It's a big side benefit to me for the convenience to be on property. I have zero clue about rates elsewhere except that the RIO continues to send me emails for up to 4 free nights and other than staying there when the WSOP was held there I am a complete nothing. They haven't extended the offer past April yet so I will see if they are player hunger for my two open days again this year in about a month. I will post the information if they do so other might possible benefit from free nights during the MAY/JUNE/JULY time frame.
Horseshoe rates, hell all the Caesars' rates, remain very high. I still can't get over the fact that when you enter the 'discount' code WSOP26 the damned price jumps up even higher. What a joke. This will very likely be my last series. I remain annoyed that they changed when the Monster Stack happens, forcing me to rebook at a higher rate. Fuckers.
Yes, unfortunately the Horseshoe rates have jumped A LOT in the last week - the same June14th-26th is all the way up to $846 for me now. Literally $400 higher than 9 days ago. Even the 5 comped nights June 28th to July 3rd are no longer fully comped (4 of 5 are still). I hope like hell they give you a shot at one more semi bargain period for everyone but per my memory once we get to April they end up being pretty pricey.

Yeah, why in the world do the rates go UP when I enter the “promo code?”
The most cynical and possibly accurate take is that it's simply there to fleece the suckers. I'm by no means a lucrative customer for CET and yet they kick out much better offers with their standard default codes than I ever see with the WSOP codes.
Caesar's rates are strange alchemy that conform to no apparent logic other than the whims of an algorithm. Always wise to check them from time to time for movement, as there are peaks and valleys.
I saw favorable rates at Horseshoe many months ago and just opted to commit to that window instead of waiting for the schedule. In most years I tinker with my bookings constantly.

I’m the same way but this year, my rates have been consistently high.
That said, I bit the bullet and booked a room now. I’ll be checking back repeatedly between now and trip time, though.
Yeah gotta keep tracking
I have 4 reservations for June and july and moving a few times between caesars and mgm.
Weekdays mostly free and weekends ~100 ish.
Have 30 days booked for $800 all in. Probably saved $100 or upgraded for same price by constantly checking
Anyone stay at the Elara or Airbnb MGM Signature or even Vdara to avoid resort fees? Elara would be pretty convenient. It is showing 1300 total for the 9 nights I am looking at. I've had good luck booking late the last three years and prices have always dropped quite a bit, though I know there is some risk involved.

Vdara still has resort fees but its one of my favorite places to stay. Sadly I don't seem to get good deals there anymore. MGM rates in general seem higher for me at the moment than Caesars (I'm MGM Gold and Caesars Diamond) Last year I had comp nights available at most MGM properties but this year nada.
I've booked about 75% of my nights for the summer already, including taking advantage of some comp nights at the Horseshoe. Still need to find 9 more nights though including the weekends of Sat 20 and Sat 27 June which are proving to be the most expensive.
I checked rates again this morning (03/06) and was surprised to see Paris now cheaper than Horseshoe for the Monster Stack time frame. I canceled my Horseshoe reservation and rebooked at Paris. Not shy about playing this rebooking game.
RIO is now sending their emails for the April thru August free nights. Different ones to different players some are 3 nights free no fee's some are 4 nights free but you pay a resort fee. Hopefully you get one. NEVER be shy about booking the cheapest rates. Also when you see it online - call them direct - they can ON OCCASION book it even cheaper and it has been my experience they will ALWAYS match the online deal.

There are Vdara owners you can rent from on Airbnb that don’t have resort fees, but you also don’t get housekeeping.
I’m going to be patient but my rates aren’t very good right now and have been slightly tending up over the last few weeks. I can get decent pricing at Park and NYNY but I’d like something nicer. Same room I booked last year at Cosmo is almost $100 more per night.
Check out Venetian for around the 20th. Their rates are cheaper that weekend than MGM for me. We did a split trip in December for WPT between Cosmo and Venetian and I may do the same this Summer.
OK, so aside from the booking/rebooking game, what's the next great question? It is ... "when will registration for the WSOP events open". I say ... Cinco de Mayo, baby. Tues May 5th. Sooner would be better. This is the next step we are all waiting for.
Does anyone have definitive information on fees charged by either the Credit Card company (Caesars VISA Card - via Comenity / Bread Financial ) or WSOP in using your CC for entries into WSOP events. In years past I have wired funds until they effectively blocked that option - or taken preapproved Cashiers Checks with me to establish a player account when I physical arrive plus carried Cash for none WSOP entry fees. From posts I have read it seems last year the fees were waived when purchasing the entry via the WSOP app. If anyone can point me to solid documentation that the fees are being waived again this year I would appreciate it.

If I am not wrong, Last year WSOP waived the fees !
Is that correct or my memory is completely gone 🥸
I know that there were no fees when using paypal last year, which surprised me.
