probably trying to bypass some NYC protections for overnight employees

hopefully it's a temporary thing just to get it off the ground

I can imagine the late night lines at the cage to get cashed out taking forever too

It would be pretty terrible if the hours were that limited.

Also, with the 16 hours, that can change. Who even knows if that will be the case when it opens, but even so, the demand should convince them to keep it open.

I dont know about gambling specific jobs but in nyc you dont get extra money just because you work graveyard

Some industries you do, mostly certain aspects of construction though. I doubt poker dealer would apply lol

Word in Las Vegas RW is they are either closing or letting someone else run the poker room Wonder how this is going to play into NYC.

Vegas got too many competing options. Here they will be the only option for years

Do other RW have tourney series?

I think they do mixed game series because Robbie Strazynski helps organize them, but I don't think they really have the player pools to run them. I know upstate RW has tourneys, not sure if there has ever been a series there

If they did a series say April, what do you think the scale would be relative to the Borgata Winter?

The NAPT has been at RW in LV the last two years. I played last year and it was awesome. Very well run.

Good good, nyc tourney would attract a lot of people

IDK, I could see these tourneys being pretty large. Maybe 30-40% higher turnout? Tough to gauge, but larger than Borgata

I think we're in pretty good hands here with Resorts World, they seem pretty good as far as operators go. I was not looking forward to the idea of a Wynn, or even MGM, and Caesars is a bit of a mess.

Ugh why 16 hours? Come on make that 24-7. Plenty of players I would think that would love to start a game early.
