Then we wait and see if RW actually opens in June, and if any of those tables are poker lol
The crazy stuff I witnessed was on the streets of Manhattan and on the subway all over the city. Not trying to derail the poker talk just curious if people would feel safe with a family in NYC?

I'm also used to the way things are here and, yes, there are random crazy people on the streets doing ****. You just walk by them and mind your own business and no one's going to bother you. This isn't a New York City specific problem.

So should we expect rw to have poker tables come June when they're allowed to? I guess they'll make an announcement about what kinds of tables at what point will they if it been announced

RW's redacted documents maybe don't contain any mentions of poker. The decision summaries at the end here: Ballys "...and 40 poker tables", Hard Rock "...and 30 poker tables". And those are the only two times "poker" appears in today's doc.
Maybe it would be unusual for a RW property not to have poker, but it seems unusual not to have mentioned it, if it was part of their plan. (Plus they proposed 780 total gaming tables but only showed 534 in their layout, so that's what they're recommended to be approved for.)

Biggest problem besides the age old “it makes the casino less money” , it’s a whole separate team of dealers and supervisors that have to be hired and trained. It’s honestly why I’m a little surprised they’re pushing for March in general. I know they’ve had some career fairs but they must really be ready to hit the ground running, like people must be in training by January right?

They've been assumed to be getting one of the licenses for so long, they'd be fools not to have at least *some* plans they can put in motion January 1 to have some expansion happening as quickly as possible. Of course there's building and renovation to be done, but the sooner they can start ramping up the additional revenue and capitalizing on being the only game in town, the better for them.
We just don't have any idea if poker is part of those plans, or even part of their plans at all. The others have at specifically said it is.

Very true. I was less concerned when the proposed total table count was 800. Now that they’ve cut it to 500 something poker seems more at risk. I’m maintaining my optimism though lol
Even if they have ultimate texas hold em that would be fun for a couple months as we wait for standard poker lol

Citi Field and Ballys each said they'd have 30 and 40 tables, respectively
I'm super excited for that Bally's in 2030 even if daddy gets $115 million for it. A 40 table room right off the ferry is a dream come true for me
