I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

No words......

"If Afghanistan doesn’t give Bagram Airbase back to those that built it, the United States of America, BAD THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN!!!" he wrote on Truth Social.

Lol. So he literally arranged the deal to give the base away, ensured the actual transition took place during Biden’s term, and is now demanding it back.

Remember when trump vowed to stop using the justice department from using their power for political purposes?

Good times.

No i don't, he actually promised retribution several times (this article is from may 2024)

https://www.citizensforethics.org/report...

Donald Trump has repeatedly promised to weaponize the federal government during a second administration by pursuing revenge, retaliation and retribution against his political enemies. Because Trump is posting primarily on Truth Social, his newly-public social media company with only a niche following, the extent of his threats have mostly flown under the radar. Trump’s attitude can be summed up in one Truth Social post from August, 2023: “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

CREW analyzed over 13,000 of Trump’s Truth Social posts from January 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024, and found that while Trump has recently backed off some of his more violent rhetoric, threatening political opponents has been a consistent fixation for Trump. Since the start of last year, Trump has issued direct or implied threats on Truth Social to use the powers of the federal government to target Joe Biden during a second Trump administration 25 times. Specifically, Trump has threatened him with FBI raids, investigations, indictments and even jail time.

But Biden is not Trump’s only target. He’s also threatened or suggested that the FBI and the Department of Justice should take action against senators, judges, members of Biden’s family and even non-governmental organizations.

Trump’s posts should not be taken as empty threats, but rather as a call to action for Congress to put in place meaningful guardrails against the weaponization of the military and federal government’s law enforcement agencies—before it’s too late.

This NPR article from oct 2024 mentions 100 + similar threats were made, including many very close to election day

Shut up, fascist

Ummmm, not only did he say it, he decreed it

Ending The Weaponization Of The Federal Government – The White House

Sec. 3. Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government. (a) The Attorney General, in consultation with the heads of all departments and agencies of the United States, shall take appropriate action to review the activities of all departments and agencies exercising civil or criminal enforcement authority of the United States, including, but not limited to, the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission, over the last 4 years and identify any instances where a department’s or agency’s conduct appears to have been contrary to the purposes and policies of this order, and prepare a report to be submitted to the President, through the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and the Counsel to the President, with recommendations for appropriate remedial actions to be taken to fulfill the purposes and policies of this order.

I guess the Afghanistan stuff was real and Afghanistan responded.

Mr. Trump on Saturday renewed his call to reestablish a U.S. presence at Bagram, even saying "we're talking now to Afghanistan" about the matter. He did not offer further details about the purported conversations. Asked by a reporter if he'd consider deploying U.S. troops to take the base, the president demurred.

"We won't talk about that," Mr. Trump said. "We want it back, and we want it back right away. If they don't do it, you're going to find out what I'm going to do."

Mr. Trump followed up with a social media post saying "If Afghanistan doesn't give Bagram Airbase back to those that built it, the United States of America, BAD THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN!!!"

On Sunday, chief Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid rejected Mr. Trump's assertions and urged the U.S. to adopt a policy of "realism and rationality."

Afghanistan had an economy-oriented foreign policy and sought constructive relations with all states on the basis of mutual and shared interests, Mujahid posted on X.

It had been consistently communicated to the U.S. in all bilateral negotiations that Afghanistan's independence and territorial integrity were of the utmost importance, he said.

"It should be recalled that, under the Doha Agreement, the United States pledged that 'it will not use or threaten force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Afghanistan, nor interfere in its internal affairs,'" he said. The U.S. needed to remain faithful to its commitments, he added.

He did both! Said he was going to seek revenge on his enemies through the justice system and also that he was going to end the weaponization of the justice department. And Trumpers either don't understand or don't care how crazy and dishonest this is.

The taliban being the rational actor against americas threats of international terrorism is where the world is now..

My favorite part was them pointing out that Trump himself was the one that agreed to the stipulation of not threatening territorial sovereignty lol

He probably just doesn't remember any of that.

I don't like Trump too much tbh. I like Milei or Wilders far more

Ah Kimmel's back.

The orange cockwomble will be incandescent.

he has to win elections, anything goes to win elections, first order priority is to win election and literally everything that works to win against communist is always ok.

We aren't ideological purists, the first order of business is to avoid communists in government *at any cost* within the law. Everything else comes later.

If he figured he has to promise some free money to avoid communists governing, which is normal in italy as well, so be it.

For appetizers we will be serving some lovely bribes and then the beatings will continue 😀

Trump Administration cancels annual government report on hunger in the country.

ending hunger in the US should be worth a Nobel!

Trump just addressed criticized his Attorney General Pam Bondi over a public post.

Remembering that many of his first term appointees grew to hate Trump after working for him makes me think there's a chance that when she inevitably leaves the administration, we may finally see that list she once had on her desk.

Anyone got any ideas or leads on how Trump makes money by denouncing Tylenol, or is this more one of his buddies just planted the idea in the cockwomble to make their own money while the clueless wonder helps them along.... or is it just a bit of Epstein files diversionary tactics?

Seems likely to me that is coming from Kennedy, not being decided by Trump. Kennedy promised that by the end of the year he will have discovered the cause of autism, and it's getting dangerously close to the end of the year.

I don't think Kennedy is as motivated by greed as is Trump. He just loves criticizing the establishment and will do anything to prove them wrong, including just making stuff up.

Trump just sees this as something to brag about. If the attack on Tylenol does start to become an issue, at that time he'll tell Kennedy that he needs to find a different scapegoat.

Kennedy got rich running a fake charity that convinces parents to let their children die.

I have no idea if he believed in the ideas he sold, but it doesn't really matter.

Luckily, I'm fluent in Trumpian and can translate this gibberish:
