2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
So I've got a core of RBs now that I want to prioritize until I get their exposures to my liking.
Achane, Allgeier, Cook, Dowdle, ETN, Giddens, Keaton, Pollard, Tracy, Walker
Kind of funny on Team 1, I pulled up Cook and Walker. Then on Team 2 I got Cook at cost, and could've had Walker again past ADP. But I opted to take a WR instead since I was aiming to get either Tracy or ETN later on.
Spoiler
Caleb, Herbert, Shough
Achane, Cook, Walker, Allgeier, Keaton, Giddens
AJB, Waddle, Odunze, Shakir, Shaheed, Tre, Noel
LaPorta, Henry
Spoiler
Purdy, TLaw, Rodgers
Achane, Cook, ETN, Dowdle, Giddens
Ladd, Tee, DK, Meyers, Jennings, Burden, Tre
Strange, Jonnu, Fannin
The WRs are so gross from the 7/8 turn to the 10/11 turn, that I think I'm just going to start mostly taking Burden the rest of the way when I need WR. He may start slow, but at least he's not injured and he still has a ton of upside.
Better hurry, already 11% full lol. People pounding them all out through slows are really going to hate life in a week when the clock starts decreasing.
Doubt I'll max it for that reason. So I'll just get as many as I can.
What do you guys do here? I'm in round 16 of my miss click slow Bulldog. My team right now is
QB) Allen, Caleb
RB) CMC, Swift, Benson, B Allen, Jaylen Wright
WR) Tyreek, DJ Moore, D Smith, Golden, Kupp, Koleman
TE) Warren, Ertz
Who do you take?
Woody Marks....Pass here and hope to snag a Tahj Brooks, B Smith, Giddens, Tucker later?
Jonnu Smith....Pass here and just get Kmet in the last round to go with Caleb?
Pat Bryant....Pass here and grab Franklin in the next round?
I want to go at least one more receiver. I probably need a third TE. Is this RB group ok to go with just 5?
Thanks
That's a tough spot.
I think you need one more each of WR, RB, TE. I'm not a fan of Dameon Pierce, but it's possible he is a better pick than Marks at this point.
I think Jonnu is severely undervalued, so that's probably who I'd go with and then figure out RB/WR with your last 2 picks. I would not take Kmet. But there are plenty of other TE options available in the last 2 rounds, if you'd rather take RB/WR here.
Puppy from earlier. Just gonna eat the 0 at QB in W9. Probably should've added a 3rd TE over Giddens.
Hurts, Fields (117)
Harvey (69), ETN, Mondre, Blue, Allgeier, Dowdle, Giddens
JJ, AJB, Tee, DeVonta, Deebo (76), Doubs, ADM
Warren, Taylor

Jonnu is the top of my que. I agree he is way undervalued. He's essentially gonna be playing a WR role. Arthur Smith loves him. He is clearly a talented and explosive player. Rodgers is old but he can still sling it. Jonnu would be a nice number three TE I think. People are spooked because they think Muth and Jonnu will cannibalize each other. Jonnu is a significant upgrade over Kmet.
BTW...Why is Jaylen wright falling so far in drafts? I saw him last to round 17 yesterday. Is it the Ollie Gordon buzz? The fact he couldn't convert in short yardage in a pre season game? He still seems to be a talented younger back with a lot of potential.
I just saw that he hurt his knee in practice but it doesn't sound like a big deal.
Thanks!
I think with Wright, that range of RBs is kind of a flavor of choice, so it depends on your room. They're mostly all contingent upside bets that drafters have various opinions on. But the Mattison injury really boosted both Wright/Ollie. I have more Wright than Ollie, so I'm going to target Ollie more over the next few weeks, but I think they are both good clicks the rest of the way.

I think Wright has more upside. He has Achane like qualities if Achane were to go down. I do want to get some Ollie though. He could score some TD's.
Cool cool. I think I’ll be fading the rest of the way, outside of falls to the mid to late 6th+. I have enough exposure already.
Here's my attempt at a Shaidy build. Only 3 WRs thru 9
Kyler, Herbert, Darnold
Achane, Breece, Walker, Pollard, Keaton
Ladd, Reed, Kupp, Bateman, Palmer, Doubs, Thornton, Lane
McBride, Jonnu
Two more fun teams.
Flock

Caleb, Stroud, Dart
Harvey, Mason, Skattebo, Braelon, Allgeir, JCM, Monangai
Nico, AJB, Evans, Rome, Jauan, Aiyuk
McBride, Schultz

Baker, Caleb, Tua
Gibbs, Bucky, Tracy, Guerendo, Wright
Reek, Pickens, Jamo, Egbuka, Deebo, Burden, McMillan
Ferg, Otton, Fannin
This Flock team is a lot of fun if the QBs hit. I had to punt QB to take advantage of the RB/WR value. McBride also at 31. Penix, Darnold, DartCMC, KW, Conner, Tuten, ShipleyLondon, Worthy, Meyers, Reed, Downs, Coleman, Burden, SlaytonMcBride, Theo
Spoiler
That looks really good. I've seen KW falling more. Maybe the injury?
Could fall a little more after Charb balled out last night.
Dalm 2. Decided to push Tua to get the Doubs double at 147, and he almost made it back to me at 166, but he went unstacked at 165.
Goff, Love
Hampton, Pacheco, Mason, ETN, Keaton
CD, Reek, Jamo, DeVonta, Golden, Doubs, ADM, Royals
Pitts, Likely, Chig
Hurts, TLaw
Achane, Jones, ETN, Allgeier, Roschon, Giddens
AJB, Waddle, Odunze, Kupp, Burden, Dyami, Tucker
Kittle, Goedert, Strange
Got funky and pulled Hurts/Smith to the 3/4. Should've just pulled Pollard up at 67 over Odunze though. Henderson or Chuba > Hunter was also an option.
Hurts, Herbert
Warren, Charb, Bigsby, Judkins, Blue, Allgeier
JJ, Ladd, Devonta, Hunter, Odunze, Addison, Malik
Jonnu, Gesicki, Fannin
I like the Hurts/Smith 3/4. Giving up some value, but it’s very unique in current contests.
6/7 is a fun spot again. You have to read the room and attack RB/WR properly, but there feels like a pretty big tier break once you’re past the healthy WRs and backs like Pollard and Pacheco.
The draft spots have kind of flipped for me. Late first was really good for a while, but with all of the injuries and uncertainty for the back half of the draft, I think the front half of the board has flipped back to being best.
I don't know why every time I get a SEA stack and think maybe I'll draft Darnold, I pretty much always end up with a falling Bryce.
Caleb, Bryce (164), AR
Achane, Pacheco, Warren, Charb, Giddens
AJB, JSN, DJM, DeVonta, Aiyuk, Palmer, Coker, ADM
LaPorta, Goedert
Purdy, Stroud, Tua
Gibbs, Cook, Warren, Wright, Marks
Tee, Waddle, Deebo, Jennings,Aiyuk, Keenan, Doubs, Noel
Bowers, Jonnu
Is Pat Bryant falling because Matt Harmon didn't give him a glowing review? The Bronco beat writers have said that he continues to look great and has stacked great practices since OTA's. He doesn't drop passes. He's a big body who is good after the catch. I feel like Sean Payton is smart enough not to put him into the situations he's not good at. Certainly he is worth a 17th or 18th round pick is he not? I realize he is not a starter on the depth chart but Payton likes to rotate these guys in and out. I don't think he is a league winner but you could certainly do worse at this stage of the draft.
