The clear command is to not bow down and worship graven images.

I am 100% obedient to that.

OK, you could have just said this from the get-go.

Wisdom is often thought of as a starfish, a single organism with many points. But now imagine that you take the great pen of life and draw a circle around the tips of the starfish. You have created a wheel. But the points have not disappeared, even as the wheel rolls. They merely have been transformed into spokes, without which the wheel could not sustain the load of the wa

Man, I wish I could "like" a post more than once...

On a related note, craig appears to be doing all of his talking out of his starfish, of the chocolate variety.

Sorry, I thought I did (in so many words).*

Anyway, glad you're not puzzled anymore.

*Maybe I should fact-check myself more often?

edit:
I'm not "worried" about it in the least. It would never even occur to me to bow down to a statue. And I don't believe that just looking at a statue necessarily entails bowing down and serving it. It's possible that in ancient times that statues were made for the purpose of worship. That is certainly not the case today.
I thought I answered your question with this post.

As I've said before, I really wish that Trump's narcissism and vanity had taken the form of insisting that his name be plastered on a bunch of newly modernized airports, train stations, bridges, and highways. Failing that, I would have preferred Trump statues and his mug on newly minted $1000 bills. But what we actually have is Trump expressing his narcissism by insisting tha

I remember in his first term it was jokingly suggested that we offer it to make him King of America, but one with no significant power, like the current British monarchy. There's no way he wouldn't have agreed to that.

? According to the bible "eating the fruit" was literally the worst thing they could have done (aside from harming each others), they had complete material abundance and freedom within that abundance and all they got asked in exchange was just to leave that specific tree alone, yet they did it anyway.

It was a "very very very wrong" thing in that value system.

Yes, but it was a very very very stupid value system, with a deliberate trap set for them.

A good father would have wanted to keep his children safe from their own imperfect decisions, not provide them with an attractive nuisance.

People who doubt me should carefully read through this entire old thread containing many of the original online poker stars:https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/69/on...I solve difficult problems. If poker players would’ve listened more to my strategy posts back then, they would’ve profited. The sa

But we don't understand your posts about that.

You need to give us explanations that don't rely on us already understanding the thing you're trying to explain.

Man, this god character sounds like a bit of a dick. He's the bad guy, right?

I always find it amusing when non-believers explain a religion - any religion - to believers of that religion. I once had someone explain to me that I didn't believe what I believed.

In a sense, eating the fruit killed them and also God deliberately killed them. Eating the fruit was the proximate cause of their death, while God was the ultimate cause of their death.

No.

But you think there is a hell? Maybe you don't, I just assumed you did.

If you do believe in hell, why wouldn't unredeemed sinners be there?

by craig1120 m

I’ll keep explaining the point to you.

People like you missed out back then.

People like you are missing it even more so now with what I’m currently posting.

Because no one here understands your serious posts!

Would Jesus have tried to save people by speaking in a language no one understood?

Was it craig?

Unredeemed sinners will be in the Lake of Fire. We only know of earthly sorrows endured by Adam and Eve.

Unfortunately, there are many "believers" who haven't read their own holy books. They just stick with the same religion under which they were raised, don't even pay attention to the actual doctrine, and just assume that whatever their gut tells them is good is backed up by their denomination.

I'm not a believer, but I went to catholic school for 12.5 years, where I carried around the Bible and often had lots of time to kill when I was the first person finished with a test or assignment. I spent much of that time reading the Bible, and I definitely know what is in it more than 99% of practicing Christians.
Reading the Bible is what made me a non-believer.

Surely you have digested his manifesto in the WOKE thread? Here, he just released it in book form:

Bit implausible, given the whole proven nature of reality and the finality of death.

Edit2 - actually, your SN is a bit suspect, you sure you're not an undercover bible thumper?

But surely they died. I imagine they would have repented though.

I know different denominations at different times have thought different things about virtuous pagans who died before Christ, unbaptized babies, etc. so I shouldn't assume what you believe.

Proven nature of reality? We mere mortals can't even prove whether or not Craig is three fries short of a Happy Meal(TM) or is just a troll.

Those future poker stars didn’t understand my posts back then either, but they were able to become great poker players. Why? Because they believed in their ability to become great.

That is the true obstacle. The issue wasn’t my inability to explain correct poker strategy back then.

You guys have to change your deeply entrenched belief about yourself. You have to stop viewing yourself through the lens of how society views you. This takes conscious effort.

You have an advantage that no one in the history of humanity has had - access to me. Leverage this advantage to train your mind into believing you are destined for greatness and make a stand behind this belief when reality tries to check you back into your old view of yourself.

Build this foundation first and then you will be allowed to start seeing what I see.

He was also a combination analyst and therapist. His portmanteau for the combination was "Analrapist".

Good. Then, since you are a Christian that means you are among the chosen and are saved.

Now, stand in front of the righteous judge, accept your guilty verdict, and allow yourself to be thrown into the eternal fire that your Non-Christian brothers are destined for. Your promised salvation will save you.

Then you will know what I know — the eternal fire is actually a purifying fire for the chosen ones.

I'm definitely stealing this line.

Except the verdict for repentant sinners is "Not guilty!" That kinda messes with your narrative, my friend.

Then you will know what I know — the eternal fire is actually a purifying fire for the chosen ones.

What you're describing here is a Roman Catholic belief called Purgatory (which is not eternal).

And how could an "eternal fire" be purifying? By definition, a thing to be purified is pulled from a fire once it is purified. Once again, you're making no sense.
