Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs
Gobbo other Thread got closed by the mod said it doesn't belong in the House of Blogs, hoping we can have this one witho
Confirmed that he's in scramble mode. Trying to vlog every day to get out of the hole.
Definitely. Wouldn’t you just save the travel footage and walking around footage until you had a complete vlog ready to put out?
Rice is the king of no content/no effort vlogs he’s just pushing out for money, trooper I think tricks himself into doing little extras like getting the sunset shot every night or getting a new shot of the same thing for a vlog, he dresses it up more, but end of the day he’s doing the same thing here and it’s easy to see. Why not just try to make a good vlog instead of pumping out bs for the little amount YouTube pays, much more of a craft to do that, trooper is fine putting out bs because **** his audience. He’s the king of half assing it. Half do candy, don’t even really know what he’s doing, get new equipment but don’t really get the right space for it, half do poker, go play, but won’t really try and learn or get better just show up and despite being breakeven for a decade, blame luck and other factors. But deludes himself into thinking he’s this hardworking guy. He’s not, he spends his time on bs. Like if I’m a poker player but spent hours a day digging holes with a shovel and then played two hours of poker a night, but pretending I was so hard working. “What are you talking about? I’ve been digging holes all day in 120 degree heat, it’s back breaking work, im the hardest worker in poker!”
I didn’t have time to play poker and do things right, so instead of doing a proper well put together vlog, here’s this slop, eat up piggies. I worked so hard on this, until I just kindve gave up, accepted what I had done was **** and just have it to you anyway. Very much like his failed candy business imo
The end of Trooper's unfinished Reno features two nomads the first one appears to be eating beef jerkey and crossed improperly at the crosswalk which Trooper concludes has killed 17 people or at least witnessed 17 murders and the second nomad swears loudly as he walks into an alley.
Trooper does not play poker in Reno since he is too tired.
"I've been awake for like 15 1/2 hours, I'm too tired to do anything."
If the Trooper doesn't get his 10 to 12 hours of sleep a day, he is exhausted.
He's always just been on a shitty schedule for a poker "pro". Sleep is important. So make sure you're well rested for late night games.
Nits like him and nomad also don't understand how profitable overnight short handed games can be.
I mean I get it when people have kids and try to keep normal hours while grinding poker but you also have to be really good to be able to support a family off of poker.
No kids if you're a pro act like it and that doesn't mean playing **** day games with OMCs.
Or a normal working stiff puts in a 8 to 10 hour day at work, gets drunk, and then hits the tables Friday night until the wee hours in the morning...
But a sober "poker pro" is unable to adjust their schedule to accommodate when the loose money is splashing around because they have to get their sleep so they can do nothing all day.

Actually it's because he is broke
Now that Trooper is back to vlogging everyday, is El Diesel going to have a nervous breakdown because he won't gain ground in the chase to be the all time poker vlog leader?
Or will he be ecstatic because it is more spank material to watch?

Hope trooper and diesel are following this .

Trooper will play it with fan backing. Diesel would never play. He would never pay even $100 to play in a tournament.
He’s not any kind of “attorney” ;
He’s just a nomad with a law degree until he passes a bar & gets a license.
A “non-practicing” attorney would be someone who is licensed to practice, but doesn’t.
Lots of attorneys practice with being a member of the bar. They're patent attorney and like that.

Honestly, Diesel should do the same thing. Read his comments section. For sure, he can get enough idiots to back him too. At least Diesel is a marginal winner at cash and knows how to play freerolls so he'll milk the bubble to min cash.
ELD checks out of the airbnb and parks at Harrah's. He then heads to Venetian to meet New Jersey. New Jersey needs to meet other people for work and ELD continues the video. ELD looses $225 and ELD fails to secure a comped meal from New Jersey and appears disappointed and frustrated.

funny thing about that. every full time pro at my local Casino NEVER play at night (maybe the few weekend night games here and there) but literally treat it as a job. 9-5. always pickup at 5 no matter what. has never made sense to me, but also they have been doing it for years

Well from a body clock point of view, this is good health wise. It's tough sleeping during the day even with a sleep mask. Sleeping random hours during the day sucks. Trying to run errands sucks since most businesses are open during the day.
But from a hourly point of view, I found starting play around 7 pm to 9 pm best.

Call me crazy, but when i was learning to play the pokers, I learned that game/table selection was incredibly important.
Playing 9-5 because that is "business hours" is incredibly negative EV (with certain exceptions).
Playing during the day on SAT. or SUN. might be OK. Playing 9-5 on Wednesday? are you kidding me?
You make so much more money off of inexperienced players, drunks, fish out on SAT. night for their twice a year poker session....and so on.
Also, while you obviously need to win some small and medium sized pots here and there to pay for the blinds and missed draws, MANY times I'll have ONE big hand a session that accounts for the majority of my winnings.
In Troopers and El Diesel's videos I almost NEVER hear them talking about strategy. No wonder they aren't too successful.

Exactly,+1 to all of this.
Like it have been mentioned before the lions share of the EV is in the evening/night with the highest amount of fish, recs, tilted players of all kinds due to being down in the game on life tilt or whatever, playing short handed with straddles on++. Its winning stacks or big pots during those hours that really boosts your winrate.
Its so laughable that clowns like Nomad think it is some massive badge of honour to literally dont have losing sessions bigger than 1 buyin,he basically isnt swinging at all when he plays=wich means he is playing way way too tight,he is passing up boatloads of +EV spots and when you doesent have big losses once in a while you cant have the upside either wich is having big winning sessions.
The problem with scared money nitregs like Nomad is they dont understand this fully, they dream about having big winning sessions but they wanna do it without the pain of having big losing sessions as well. Guess what? That is not possible to do. If you wanna have a big solid winrate you have no choice but to embrace the variance/EV longterm, both the bad and the good.

i completely agree. but they continue to do it. in fact the "big" game is always held on Tuesdays from 10-4 lol wut??
I dont understand it. I go all the time after dinner hours and there isnt a single reg/pro in the lineup. they all have racked up already. so much that the larger games cant be found in the evenings. mindboggling
I play in a day shift $2/3 game with mandatory UTG straddle ($6 - $15) and double board PLO bomb pots every dealer change. Buyins $200 - $1000, or match the big stack after the first hour.
A lot of deep pocketed old guys, and business owners, doctors, lawyers, investment advisor, etc.
I get to avoid all the other pros and serious night grinders and keep a sane sleep schedule.

If that is an option you have, that is of course great and the nutz being able to keep a seminormal sleeping pattern.
But i would guess for most serious profit players that is not possible to have access to such good games during daytime,so yeah you are in a quite lucky position imo.

It's painfully obvious why diesel can't beat 1/3 pokers after he gives some hand recaps. He talks about bad run-outs preventing his domination of the table. He obviously can't range opponents and only waits till after the river when he has the nuts to put money into the pot.

Really? Someone should let the State know that these guys are out here practicing without a license.
They’re allowed to be “Patent Agents” without a law license, but not a Patent Attorney
So as not to make this a complete derail-
Anyone else besides me who wants to try to get Rice to do the Bar Exam Challenge?
Oops, down $417 in the poker game. How much did he spend on coffees for the day $20+ easy. Coffee first thing, then go out for coffee, by then it's time for breakfast and some more coffee, then multiple more coffees throughout the day.

"professional poker player" is not a sustainable career for someone that wants to work M-F 9-5. it's a miserable waste of life
