what do you consider sustainable? cause these guys have been doing it for 15+ years. have full family with wife and kids etc

Rice has bragged about his superior test-taking abilities before, I’m sure he could handle it.

The Bar Exam is easier than normal law school exams are.

Not sure why he’s ducking this challenge.

He could probably get followers to contribute to the costs of taking the Exam, it’s not really cheap.

That's a big swing and a miss for Trooper.
A couple more of those, and his unfinished business will be finished.

Excellent start of the unfinished business comeback. He will already be boiling over with tilt inside and ready to blow off at any point. I am missing his old rants/blowups,that is peak Trooper imo.

Looking forward to getting more of those uncontrolled blowups after he lost big in a game and cant contain himself in front of the camera.

Lost two weeks potential worth of his typical small wins in a "good game". Good to see Trooper frantically running in the same old hamster wheel of life getting nowhere as usual.

The meltdown/blow up is rapidly approaching, like no one can see that coming. (And yes, when I said no one, I did poll all 8 billion people on earth).

Midwest. Play about 5 days a week. Try and get there around 9AM, Sundays by 8AM

Fridays, I'm experimenting with getting there in in the 1-2PM range as the 1st table has been nitty on Fridays.

I actually stopped watching him all together because of these parts+ it feels too much overproduced to me,or trying too hard if you will. Some like it, but me it puts on tilt.

My review of the recent Trooper vlogs:

First, let me say that up until a few days ago, I’ve never seen one from start to finish. I just heard things from this thread and from watching the Rice vlog. I’m not sure the Trooper vlog is for me. He’s a very negative person and seems to think he’s a tough guy. He did outkick his coverage with LadyTrooper. She’s cute. Kind of a Jodi Arias look to her. Will their relationship end the same way? Who knows.

On the plus side, he seems to do a decent job with editing videos and taking good scenery shots. Much better than Rice in a garage all video. Also, Trooper does a fine job mixing in music in between scenes.

He’s obviously doing these vlogs just to make money and to promote his weekly game, brands, etc. There’s no way he’ll make much money long term playing poker with such few hours and not being serious about it.

It's amazing. Poker really is the wrong career if you want to work normal hours.

I get it when it's someone playing for fun - but people doing it to make a living that **** in shitty games all day to hit their hours quota then leave just before it gets good make no sense.

It depends.

If you have a big enough player pool of lot of deep pocketed old guys, and business owners, doctors, lawyers, investment advisor, real estate investors .... then an early morning round of golf, followed by an afternoon of high stakes poker over in time for dinner with the kids and maybe a private Saturday night game at somebody's mansion is the way to go.

But if you are trying to grind a barely above poverty level living at small stake short stacks poker then avoiding the Tuesday afternoon social security crowd and concentrating on the drunks losing their weekly paycheck on Friday and Saturday night is the smart play.

Especially when he can't even beat the rake at 1/2

ELD should just get a lawyer who is smart enough to pass the bar to grow a long beard and shave his head and take it under ELD's name.

I also stopped watching Jaman a few months ago. Too much shtick and absolutely atrocious music. It’s a shame because I find him really likable and enjoy watching his hand histories.

He is likeable and he puts a lot of work into his videos but the shtick gets old after a few videos.
It also doesn't help that he's playing the dustiest 5/10 nl games in the country. Open to 30 take the blinds or go heads up to some 200 dollar pot by the river just isn't interesting.

You're right. I was speaking in generalities. I remember playing in Daytona when the 100 dollar cap came off of NL games and I was shocked at how good games were during the day and now they would die out after dinner.

But I've seen it a lot with grinders where they play crap games all day then leave at night when they get good. And trooper is no exception.

Played 8 hours on Sunday, won 1200 BB.

The game does seem rather soft for 5/10.
