Was he permabanned or temp banned? I'd certainly hope that someone who's spent half of the last 15 years of their life literally on 2+2 must have done something ****ing egregious that isn't and can't be discussed in order to get banned for life. I personally never saw a post or a "body of work" that would have warranted that for someone holding the post record.
I mean… as others have already pointed out, it’s “permanent” until he understands why this happened, stops with the maladaptive behaviors, and successfully convinces me to reverse it. Contrition is usually the way to go, but from what I understand that does not seem to be the route he is choosing. It’s sort of up to him, honestly.

Then read it again, friend. He can come back if he can stop breaking the rules. First he needs to demonstrate that he understands both *what the rules are* and *in what ways he is violating them* so that I am convinced he is capable of returning and contributing in a cooperative way.
Circumventing his ban to make more baseless accusations about me to the other mods is not the path toward returning.
How about the forum buys you a le cruset pot , you moderate another forum and we get Mets back?
I am also in the market for bribes to not moderate this forum if anyone is interested.

i haven't witnessed anything nor do i care or will investigate what he did
however, i implore cn to consider backing off on a month long ban - that's a bit harsh imo, especially for someone with the all time post record which has been mostly goodness

As an aside, I think the issue here is you think this is about you. For me, it isn't. And anyone who reads our PMs in the previous post should arrive at the same conclusion. You are 5% of this maybe.

Explain to me how, given my recent interaction with you, that you feel I deserve that. Or that I have chased away the Jews in that thread when I have extensively made myself available to BOTH you and Mets.
If you want to make accusations regarding my integrity, no matter how passive, I will challenge you on them.
I just am curious to know, if reaching out to you directly to ask how I might improve your experience is not the exact best path to getting you what you want, what is?

You did not chase away the Jews. Nobody has accused you of this. The antisemitism chased away the Jews. As it tends to do.
I meant what I said, I am grateful for your service, and I hoped less drama would occur in this section going forward.
