I've been a top level competitor at chess, baseball, wrestling, counterstrike, and poker during my life and the point of competitive sports is to see the fruits of labor, develop social skills, and have fun.

Its basically a microcosm of the corporate structure unless you are one of the .0001% who go pro

how far away were you from being pro at csgo? do you "still got it" or is it gone much like how when korean sc2 pros finish their military service it takes them about 6 months or to be competitive again (while still being able to easily destroy really good players who are not pros)

There wasn't much of a pro scene in 2005 so I doubt I was close. I do not still have it. I haven't had it for 20 years

Malicious is not quite the same as being irresponsible. idk, seems like when he's texting & driving, going to work with COVID, or letting his dogs run loose in public there's good chance of someone being injured via his foolishness.

I haven't been sued yet but possibly running well there.

Can’t get blood from a stone.

Luckbox has terrible ideas and believes a lot of nonsense things and can be stubborn, he tilts me to the moon sometimes. That being said, he’s easily top 5 posters I’d trust to watch my child, a little girl.

I think he’s a good person, he’s just wrong about everything 😃

This is interesting. I'm pretty sure I put him on my ignore list because I just can't physically tolerate sandy hook "truthers." Your endorsement is interesting because I trust your judgement. Might consider leniency.

Have to hope he leaves his phone at home when he drives CN's kid somewhere for her, and doesn't radiate covid virus everywhere either.

I don’t let anyone drive with her except me and her dad, and I don’t leave her with people who are experiencing illness.

But beyond that, I don’t think you’re actually understanding the more critical criteria for trusting a man with a little girl, the actual behaviors and character that make him “safe”.

There are a couple others here I’d consider safe as well. All meet similar criteria despite having very different personalities.

I don’t trust his judgment in many ways, and outright disagree with it frequently. But we’re not talking politics or concepts; we’re specifically talking about the way I suspect he treats other people, based on the evidence that I have.

This is really all theoretical anyway. I don’t leave my daughter with men ever. And at every place I’ve entrusted with her care, there have been explicit instructions that she is never to work with men one on one, never be alone in a room with a man, never have a man take her to the bathroom. Nothing. I do not let men around my daughter. That’s a rule for everywhere.

But if I had to, I’d pick specific men over others for very specific reasons and I think I’m discerning in that regard.

Anyway.

how bout bears?

She’d almost certainly try to pet that dog

In the real world people actually do trust me with both their kids and their dogs... haven't lost one yet knock on wood.

Great. So you don’t actually trust him with your kid. Basically you just endorsed the sandyhook truther on a lie. Very interesting that.

In the real world you apparently drive drunk and let your dog chase after wildlife. If you want to talk about the real world, we have to take that into consideration.

When did I ever say I drive drunk? I have zero alcohol related driving offenses on my record.

OMG dogs chasing wildlife wow that's so awful.

This is very sad.

Sad that she does it, or sad that it's essentially the only way to guarantee a man doesn't interfere with her child?

Both?

Moose day today walking the dogs. I definitely don't 'let' them chase wildlife....they do it entirely on their own.

Train your dogs.

I dunno how many dogs would be needed to take a moose but its probably more than you have and they aren't particularly friendly creatures

Might be safer to chase squirrel

Just two dogs with me today-- one of the black labs and my husky-- I just keep on walking since it's the only thing I can do. They barked at it for like a minute then the lab came running to me followed by my dog maybe 30 seconds later. The labs have lots of experience with them since they've lived here longer and it's probably my dog's 5th or 6th encounter possibly more if she's came across them in the yard without me.

It'll be interesting the first time she comes across a bear but they're sleeping now fortunately.

Lunchbox is definitely the kind of guy that takes a huge stinky chit in the front bathroom at someone's house during a large gathering for a semi-formal dinner, despite having a strong urge to defecate when at home but just says to himself, "Eh, I don't feel like getting undressed right now - I'll just go when I'm over there."

I think so too.

This is oddly specific…
