In the 2020 primary .... Bernie got the most votes in the early highly white states of Iowa and NH. Got the most latino vote in Nevada.
Then we went to S. Carolina and he got hammered by black voters.
Pretty obvious that the race went down along lines of racial division. Why do black Democratic voters in S Carolina have a completely different set of priorities than their Democratic peers in other parts of the country?
This is why they give Uncle Tom $500,000+ for a 30 minute speech.
These people don't give a damn if Trump is elected. They knew that Bernie would use the bully pulpit if elected. They saw how he could whip a crowd of 50,000 young people into a frenzy.

No entity intent on winning would provide so much leverage to a bloc of voters in S. Carolina which delivers zero electoral votes in the general election.
They would quite simply rally around the candidate who performs best in the swing states.
