What's the deal with sandwiches?

I don’t know, Katz’s was the best pastrami I’ve ever had, no other even comes close.

I am not suggesting that Katz's pastrami sucks. I am suggesting that there are better ways to spend your money and time pursuing food experiences in NYC than standing in a one hour line with a bunch of tourists for a $30 pastrami sandwich.

Mostly agree. The places I recommended were not tourist places and would not have long lines.

You should be happy that there better places in the city.

What I will say is I paid $30 for a pastrami sandwich and didn’t feel at all ripped off which is insane. What are better spots for pastrami in NYC?

I’m gone, didn’t even know pho sandwich was a thing. I love pho, not a big fan of banh mi but this pho sandwich looks good.

I don't know. I haven't been to a lot of the old-time pastrami places in a long time. Again, I am not claiming that Katz's pastrami is bad. There is no rule that says the best sandwiches must feature pastrami.
