** World Cup 2026 - USA, Canada, Mexico Thread **
Saw no thread was active yet while it starts tomorrow so I'd gave it a go
No real time for an extensive write-up but lets
camera wire controversy taking england to the cup!
In before Messi hat trick
They might get past Argentina or Switzerland but can't see them beating France in the final. Perhaps Spain will get lucky and knock them out but hard to see that also.
argentina is shaky on the back end england can absolutely beat them because bellingham can beat those guys.
France is just too good, clearly the best team but elo says it's spain so (fifa has france first)
If argentina holds the top 4 teams end up in the top 4. You'd think a sport where games routinely end 1-0 would have an upset somewhere.
that's the most ridiculous dive by that swiss guy I've seen in this cup
toss that clown out of the game
Soccer needs more of this. Embellishment and faking needs to be severely punished.
Really stretching the meaning of mistaken identity here
Lol at doing that when you are on a yellow
such a dumb dive, he better pray this goes to the penalties
Clearest dive ever.
What an idiot.
Argentinians won't back themselves to put a decent cross in even with five guys in the box
argentina just gonna waste the whole time huh probably better trying to score when you're up a man what do I know.
PKs risky, I don't think the swiss are gonna send out the guy who put it into the stands last time.
Lautaro winner incoming.
This has mostly been a crap game.
felt inevitable but man they took their sweet time for that
jesse pinkman theycan'tkeepgettingawaywithit
Nice arc on that
Have a shot why don't you
Well I was right about Alvarez scoring at least, just wasn't the winner.
GG Switzerland. Only big boys left now.
Could someone please summarize the storied history of Argentina/England for me?
I’ve got the Falklands War Rematch, and England seeking revenge for some very impressive Maradona goals in 1986.
Don't know if anyone discusses this but the first england goal seemed the direct result of a Norway player doing the classic oversell on the ground. If he got up and played the goal might not have happened. Was he actually injured? It looks comical the way soccer players die on the ground like that and then be completely fine.
