It’s been 3 years since my last Veg
Gordon Ramsey steak - I ate in the bar area. A little dark for my liking but I was too hungry to try somewhere else
Speaking of ‘too hungry’ I flirted with the idea of the 3 course menu there - French Onion Soup, a Wellington and then Sticky Toffee Pudding…but I just can’t eat that volume and I wouldn’t have been able to think or move tonight
So I ordered a Wagyu and the Baked Potato and as it was I only hate about half the huuuuuge potato
The steak was good to very good, the potato was also good, albeit too drowned in cheese
With tip it was $105
I’m now sat in a sleepy 2/5 game at the Horseshoe poker room

I thought she might also be limping QQ and the 1 combo of JJ pre hoping for a raise
and lots of people here limp mid pairs so she has the 67 combo too

I played two hours of unmemorable hold em last night. I tried three tables - one of 2/3 and then two of 3/5 and I couldn’t settle into any of them
That doesn’t mean they weren’t profitable though.
At home I’m mainly a guy who waits for his spots as the young regs bash around but last night the tables were so nitty that people were making way more folding mistakes than calling ones. So I decided to be the basher and got lucky
I was up about 150 when an older reggy guy opened to 10 from MP. This was 3/5 making that raise pure and utter nonsense and being next to act with 53cc I raised that beauty up to $35. An old Chinese guy to my left who called any reasonable raise also called and so did villain.
Flop (110) was the above average 467ddh
I bet 55, Chinese guy calls, Villain raises to 170. I have no other option than to cram. I cover both guys. Chinese guy folds and Villain beats me into the pot with the rest of his $500 so fast that I briefly think he might have 58.
Turn is the not ideal 5 but the river is an Ace and I hold vs 44
I played for another hour or so. The game was incredible but there was the most toxic Russian guy at the table who I honestly didn’t want to be near so I racked up. This was one of the many times I was happy poker is not my job as I would have had to stay.
I racked up +663
Instead I went for a walk along the Strip, saw the Bellagio conservatory’s new exhibit and then stocked up at CVs
I got a great night’s sleep and am about to fire day 1B of Seniors. My last mtt of the trip
I woke up hungry and have just had a forgettable French Dip sandwich at a French place in Paris

I bust my first bullet in fairly unpleasant fashion.
Lost a big pot with AA & the nut flush draw vs the bb's 52o on 3486sss
then I shoved QQ from the bb with my last 16bb & was called by A10 who hit his gutty on the river on a KQ9 flop
so...I've re-bought. this is my last mtt escapade this trip.
