USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
I sensed that this time was different. I was wrong.
I would like the Iranians to surrender. Since this isn’t gonna happen I’d like to see the US and Israel go all in and take out Iran and Hezbollah.
Enlist, rapist
The least shocking thing on earth that performative cowards like you want blood as long as you aren’t the one putting your money where your mouth is
Also you’re a rapist
He knows. He just accepts that Hezbollah should be their own state within a state inside Lebanon; that acts for their own interests and that of their patron IRGC in direct contradiction of the Lebanese govt; including conducting warfare.
It’s crazy that literally none of the virtue signalers in here care about a terrorist group occupying a sovereign nation.
Random (and even IRGC linked) social media accounts on X declaring there is no deal underway does not mean there is no deal underway. It is kind of wild how The Regime has done nothing but lie for 3 years straight, yet a lot of you guys just accept what they say at face value.
I understand you could say the same thing about Trump; but you dont accept what Trump says at face value. I would suggest you use the same level of skepticism for anything coming from the IRGC or Twitter/Telegram accounts aligned with them.
Unfortunately you are letting Cenk and Iranian propaganda "inform" you of what is going on. Which means you have an extremely distorted perception of reality. Lebanon is supposed to be a sovereign nation. You and Cenk basically assume that it is and should be a vassal state of Iran and Hezbollah has the legitimacy to be a state within a state that ignores the Lebanese state
this is the inversion thing. he wants us to believe that Hezbollah, who consistently win the most votes in Lebanese elections, and are in fact made up entirely of Lebanese people, are somehow destroying the country's sovereignty. and in fact, if they wanted they could have seized control of the country in 2000 or really at any time after including right now.
the sovereignty of Lebanon is actually undermined by the US and Israel who put the PM* and president in place, and who are currently bombing and occupying the country.
it should be noted that long ago, when the PM was an ICJ judge, Dun called him an anti-Israel Islamist. now it is clear the guy is an anti-Hezbollah stooge for the West (with ties to Mossad from his school days) so it kind of shows how ignorant Dun is about everything.

Marandi is not random. and he is not tied to the IRGC. he is tied to the (liberal) government and traveled to Pakistan with Iranian delegation for the ceasefire talks last month. he also was part of the JCPOA advisory group during negotiations.

obv he could be full of **** but your ignorance is astounding.

In fairness Obama's JCPOA implicitly gave the IRGC carte blanche to operate Regime aligned paramilitaries within sovereign Arab nations (including but not limited to Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria) with varying amount of autonomy. In every case it has been a complete disaster.
And what we are undergoing is the very painful process of unwinding this.
lol wut
Simpin ain’t easy

I don't believe either of them. But it is a lot more difficult to accept that we now have, as our leader, someone that equals them.
Your SRMDS is showing yet again, rapist

The difference is they have had this problem for 47 years, with no end in sight. There is no indication the American public will have an appetite for anything like Trump in 2 years.
Say what you want about Vance and Rubio's politics, but they dont act anything like him as far as the lying and corruption. So even if the Republicans keep power (unlikely) I dont think we should expect anything like this moving forward.
in actual news, it does seem like a deal was close, or at least the smarter Iranians thought so as they had the sense to realize it was a really bad deal and spent the last few days demonstrating against the liberal govt. but today Israel just bombed the **** out of Beirut and Iranian insiders are saying negotiations are off for now.
It seems likely that trump wants out. I wonder if he is capable of realising that having been led by the nose, Netanyahu isn't going to let go of his balls

On their own they might not, but they're both spineless sycophants that go along with literally every single horrible thing he does.
you miss the point of my post as usual. but I rarely respond to mongo bc hes kinda of dull and boring. I did notice that you respond to him incessantly and now it has become clear what the point of your piss post actually was. your post was so out of left field that its pretty clear, as they say, every accusation...

How is it antisemitic to point out that Netanyahu has been trying to influence and/or manipulate Trump so that the US actions and objectives will align with Israel's goals, and that Netanyahu will try and retain that influence or control over Trump where and when he can.
Isn't chezlaw just noting his opinion on who he thinks is playing who in all this?
I think that Israel wants different things than the US ( e.g. Israel wants a much, much weaker Iran) , and I think that Israel has taken advantage of the US presence. Does that make me antisemitic.
yes, thinking that Israel has so much influence that they can get the USA to do its bidding with an actual war against Iran is a textbook antisemitic trope. I am just pointing out the absurdity of antisemitism as a concept in this day and age.
I don't think it's anything much to do with what isreal wants or needs. netnayahu is a monster trying to survive. trump was an easy mark
A huge danger is that in a year or so it may be trump trying to survive and he may need a bigger boat. This is part of a general problem of how we handle leaders who may face the music once they're out of office
btw i took victors 'viscous assault' on me in the manner it was intended.
tbc, it was a joke. I was not trying malign you. (which I figured you would know).
obv I disagree on pinning this on Netanyahu. I also disagree with pinning this on Israel as the NYT and other mainstream media have done, as Tucker and the far right have done, and as politicians on both sides of the aisle have done.
Israel is advancing the agenda of the American Empire. clearly they have the full support and approval of the Trump admin (just like they did of Biden's gov).
does Israel control America or vice versa? thats a chicken and egg, or horse and rider argument. for all intents there is no difference between the two.

Even if you are half joking, it seems like any observation about Israel (whether favourable, unfavourable, or neutral) is somehow antisemitic. That really stifles conversation and honest debate.
Im not really joking. pretty sure people have been banned from this forum for saying that Israel motivated the Iraq invasion. so this kind of shows how far the "Overton window" has shifted.
That really stifles conversation and honest debate.
oh for sure. thats the point.
