Game 2 Victory was NEVER in DOUBT!

13 wins in a row
2 losses by 1 point each

how can you not appreciate THE KNACKS
NEW YORK CITYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
BING BONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

To state the obvious, the Knicks going up 2-0 with Brunson going 19 for 56 from the field is not a good sign for the Spurs.

by GusJohnsonGOAT

**** the Knicks. Can't believe how many people want them to win.

That's like their collective fandom opinions man.

yeah Brunson was awful tonight in halfcourt offense, obviously made the big steal, had a nice cut with a few mins left but creating offense he was rough

that game felt so huge once spurs came back, like both teams just had to have it and it is a terrible loss for whoever takes it

I can see the Spurs winning both in NY if they actually play with that intensity. The first quarter they've played the entire series where they wanted it more.

Fox was a lot better tonight. Biggest liability was him in game 1 and now Castle in game 2. Harper should 100% start and play 38 minutes and run Fox out more than Castle. Harper +12 tonight, Castle -6.

100% agree.

That said, as badly as the Knicks played down the stretch, it didn't feel like panic or pants shitting. It just felt like the Spurs amped up the defensive pressure to an insane level and the Knicks had trouble making very tough shots for a five minute stretch. The Knicks would be one of the least talented teams to win a championship in the last 25 years, but I can't remember a team with a better mental approach. Fully bought in, competitive, and calm. Just what you want

1 out of 8 is a good probability to bet on for going forward.

Fox outplayed Brunson by a good margin tonight. Dylan Harper could be the second best player on the Spurs as early as next year. I'm completely sold on him.

I need Trump at both NYC games and some 2006 reffing.

I need Trump at both NYC games and some 2006 reffing.

You had that reffing tonight Bully, Tony Brothers special with a rigged game for Spurs.
AND they still couldn't win.
Spurs had a favorable whistle in game 1 as well.

Castle is the worst offensively out of all those guys but he is the best defensively and the best on Brunson

guarantee if you ask Brown/Brunson if they're cool with him playing less, they're nodding in approval

Could see Brunson getting going more if he plays less

I do agree feels like lot more ball left to be played though, although on the road maybe such a young team will wilt a bit easier if Knicks punch em in the mouth

Towns is a top center ITL
Bridges has been playing like an amazing #3
OG is phenomenal
Brunson is Captain Clutch
Hart is a super role player
they go 10 deep.

this team is definitely "talented".

Pretty epic. If Wemby hits Knicks are 13-3 in the playoffs with all three losses by one point. That would have been quite an anomaly.

Gotta say that picking Brunson up at mid court was terrific. Wore him down, so down that he shoots 28%, and has a lousy assist/TO ratio in the game. He still did a good job of not turning it over more against that pressure. I really think the Knicks need a bit of a different offensive set against that press/trap. You can't just stand there with it ala King James and wait for the pressure, then get clogged up. Really only some Knicks one-on-one shot making saved them and got them the lead.

In this scenario for the sweep bet, I worry about all games of course, but particularly a Game 4 if up 3-0. The Spurs are free-rolling then, it's just ball with expectation kind of removed, and the Garden mania will ebb a tad from Game 3 if the Knicks win that game. It could get in a space like the Bulls did against the Sonics. The Bulls were just running roughshod over the playoffs ala these Knicks -- I think 14-1 at that point -- then lost up 3-0 in the finals. They broke stride a bit, and it got a touch shaky, at least if you ask Gary Payton. There was some truth to that. But the law was laid down and 72 was golden.

Should this series happen to get to a Game 6 in New York, that will be one of the all-time sports scenes. "Okay, we need you, " says the Knicks brass thru the Post to the fans, "and we don't need polite clapping. If that's what you got just stay home ..."

Mayhem. What is the wildest sports scene ever in American sports, in terms of home court/field mania. Knicks in '70 Game 7? What are some other ones that stand out? I tell you one that stands out for me is a lesser known one, when UK in hoops downtrodden program in Pitino's first year I think, Shaq and Chris Jackson came into Rupp. The atmosphere, from like an hour before game time, was like a heavyweight championship 15th round. Just rabid. And UK pulled it off. Cawood made a comment that he had never seen anything like it and was worried about what was going to happen.

In New York, they do such things much bigger. Hey, that Chambliss home run pennant clincher, or maybe the "Reggie" game, rank up there for mania. New York, New York.

If CJ McCollum is your villain you aren't contenders.

Jerry Sloan was widely known around Utah for the flattest deadest dark-eyed stare imaginable though he was unfailingly cordial & polite, and always picked up the tab—I know several guys who knew him well.

RIP Stacey King :(

Getting into MSG tonight is going to be nightmare. They are advising ticketholders to arrive two hours before tipoff because of the added security for Trump.

Imagine the box office for Dune 3 if TC lost his life in the msg massacre
