People really don’t remember how unhinged this pick was. Everyone assumed Memphis was going to take Tyreke Evans here at the time. Harden and Steph obviously would’ve been better in hindsight, but Evans was the guy at the time.

The thing that makes this unhinged is there probably wasn’t another NBA team that had Thabeet rated as a lottery pick. Hell, there’s been credible info that there were NBA teams that had him completely off the board as undraftable. And the Grizzlies took him with the #2 overall pick.

Lebron and all that, but this is very poor out of the Rockets.

They are just so badly coached. I know they have fundamental personnel limitations, but some of the choices are incredibly sub optimal. Soft doubling LeBron 30 feet from the basket is just asking for trouble.

There’s no comparison to how JJ has his guys prepared, and the adjustments he is making in game. Houston have a dramatic athleticism advantage here, and are not making it count at all.

KD might prefer cancun early rather than get swept by OKC at this point
