The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

I think you are making things up. Perhaps some twitter opinion you've morphed onto me. I don't think a conversation where I backhanded implied you were racists for kamloops graves sites was a thing that ever happened ITT. Again. Can you find a quote?

i think i kind of remember this tbh

by uke_master

Sounds like a residential school denier talking point. They didn't dig up the potential burial sites found in Kamloops if this is what you are commenting on, so I don't really understand the "all the equipment they have used" bit???

My far left translator says your saying he's using a racist talking point. Funny because most "residential school deniers" were right. It was the biggest gaslights of our lifetime where your considered a racist for knowing there were no mass unmarked graves

Right, so I remembered correctly, zero accusations of racism. But a loltastically bad talking point by lozen about "all the equipment they have used". Rightly or wrongly, they did NOT exume the potential grave sites.

No bodies found lots of cash given . I do remember in Winnipeg the bodies must be found and given a proper burial.

Ontario looking ‘very, very closely’ at rise in sports betting, gambling commercials

Shortly after voting down an attempt by the Ontario Liberals to ban online gambling commercials, the Ford government says it is seriously considering how to handle an explosion in betting ads.

The Stop Harmful Gambling Advertising Act, introduced by opposition MPPs in April, was defeated by the government in mid-May on second reading.

Canadian politics in a nutshell.

There was no further search to exhume any potential bodies. That First Nation has strong convictions against disturbing a burial site. That’s fine to conclude there is insufficient evidence of a mass burial, I’d agree, but there is no need to act like it was searched any further with lots of equipment. It wasn’t. As I explained to you months ago.

On May 18 in Toronto, at a Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) convention, a youth session titled “Visionaries of the Ummah: Youth Activism Lab” encouraged high school and university students to consider how they could help revive the ummah — the global community of Muslims united by faith beyond borders. During the session, Canadian-Egyptian activist Khaled Al-Qazzaz praised the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, and at least one person publicly, likely more, shared their desire that the community they work toward be “Jew free.”

Ooh look at that. Another group with a set of values that have absolutely no business being in Canada.

WE ban cigarette ads and Booze so that should apply to sports betting as well and I personally think all these ask your doctor about this drug should go as well

The irony is that if Carney's free trade agreement with India comes through (which is basically going to be Canada selling India raw materials, mainly fossil fuels, in exchange for allowing Indian immigration); Canada filling with millions more Indians will actually be somewhat of a inoculation against the current spread of Islamism.

As the (non Muslim) Indian diaspora is generally antagonistic of political Islam. As it has festered in their own societies for much longer, and they know exactly how it is going to turn out.

Oh I agree. It's ridiculous I can't watch a game of anything without 2000 sports betting site ads. It's just typical for Canada and more specifically Ontario to create a problem, shut down an attempt at fixing the problem and then pretending you identified the problem and will now fix it.

We don't need more of any of them. We need less.

are we going to get a post every time an immigrant says or does a bad thing?

Leftist professors. Absolute plague on academia and the future of Canada.

You want to dissociate from the US, well you need new trading partners. And those trading partners are going to want something that is in their interests. So that is going to be the cost.

India buys Canadian raw materials, and Canada imports millions of Indians.

Carney already made the deal.

You want to debate in good faith? Don't re-write history. This is your presidents doing, not our prime minister's.

why would seeding another country be in their direct interest -_-

I'll tell you the absolute most woke leftist thing I do where I am actively making a political choice about content in my classroom that is informed by my leftist political stance. You ready for it? I wanted math to be relevant to issues people care about. So I developed a series of modules on climate modelling. So for each semester as students step through their calculus sequence, they get a half-class mini unit showing how the calculus techniques of the day can inform simplistic climate models. It's kinda fun, the students like to tweak parameters in the code for the toy model and result in a snowball earth or boil off the oceans. It's just math, no politics or conclusions, they are toy models after all. But I'll tell you I get more comments about those half-classes than I do the other 39.5 hours of class time in my evaluations.

****ing leftist professors imo.

Lol where are you getting this from? Like firstly CEPA is in negotiations, Carney didn't "already make the deal". I'm reading the articles, where does it say we are exchanging raw materials for importing millions? https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/india-d...

My sister a retired teacher has always said the best teachers are the ones that you have no clue about their politics . By you using climate models in math class tells your students exactly were you stand. Do you post your pro nouns as well

by uke_master

Your sister sounds like an idiot. About 99.5% of my class is completely and utterly non-political. I do a very, very narrow set of things you'd probably call "political" if you think that showing students how to apply calculus to do toy climate models is "political". But I like it (and they seem to as well!) as it helps connect math to something real and important in their live

The one common thing I see about the left is the personal insults racist, trans phobic, idiot and so on . My sister would never call a fellow educator an idiot sje would say I do not approve of your politically motivated teaching methods .

The one thing I never get with pronouns which the gal in Landman stated reality is your never going to use them.

Your buddy just said that leftist professors are a "plague". You can't possibly get holier than thou about an idiotic point being called idiotic. Pretending to get butthurt over "idiot" as an insult on an internet forum as if only one side does that is hilarious, as is your endless attempts to pretend I said racist or transphobic every other sentence.

This says way more about you than me. If someone tells me their pronouns of course I'm going to use them lmao wtf is wrong with you. I have a close friend who is non-binary and refer to them with they/them pronouns. Just the same as if someone I previously knew as Adam wants me to call them Alice. It's literally zero big deal at all, just about being just a tiny bit nice and respectful to call people how they want to be called.

LMAO. I had to google the scene to figure out where lozen was getting his cultural cues from. LMAO amazing.

Broken YouTube Link

Funny thing is the they/them says you could identify as a sunflower . Though tell me were she is wrong

On another note good to see the other person other than Trudeau I label as a traitor

Received a criminal conviction
Imposed liberal censorship as heritage minister
undermined our energy independence as environment minister
Watched and did nothing as Jasper burned to the ground

Stephen Guilbeault . Not much of Trudeau policies or cabinet members left

Small victory of sorts

BBC story of on a US based distilling company that moved some production to Canada.

If Trump finds out he'll probably punish the company and up Canadian tariffs out of spite.....

I don't care where people are personally (gay, bi, trans, other, et al), but I can't see a situation where I would need to use they/them in a conversation.

If someone named Mary said I identify as they/them I would say..."I respect that, can I call you Mary." Mary and I could talk every day and become buddies for life and I would never have the need to use they/them. And, not because of some refusal on my part to use the words, but rather I could not imagine a situation where I would need to.
