Cavs really are a quandary for these play offs

The streak.

Is.

Over.

At exactly 20 winning sessions in a row, surpassing my previous record of 15 in 2013.

Actually stayed a little past my curfew at a good table just to see if I could extend it as I was only stuck a little (after being stacked on my very first hand dealt to me, lol). The fun player blind shoves UTG for his $100 stack, folds to me on the Button and I call with AJo (which will be enough to get me unstuck)... but the tight SB wakes up with KK and shoves so I sigh fold (lol, thought of gamboolling for the streak but couldn't bring myself to do it). Then just called it a night to let the streak die honourably.

Will post stats in the Winrates thread.

What were your and the KK guy’s stacks GG?

What were your and the KK guy’s stacks GG?

and how did utg win the hand?

Running in Denver is not easy

Especially if you are not acclimated. Used to live in C-Springs, higher than Denver. Visited SLC, lower than Denver, last summer. Got winded walking across a parking lot.

i almost had a The Shining experience staying in Blackhawk.

IIRC, the hand went down exactly like this.

UTG fun player shoves $100 blind.

Folds to me on the Button, and I call with AJo on a $333 stack.

Tight / not getting out-of-line SB eyeballs my stack and makes it $300.

BB calls all-in for I think $180? I play in a very tough game, ldo.

So effectively, I'm being asked to call $233 more to win $100 + $100 + $333 + $180 - $12 = $701. So I need 25% equity? If I stove against TT+/AQ+ (Q: Do you shove TT if rocky me flats?), I think I might be getting a smidge more than that, although not really sure how to factor the BB into things / possible he might be sucking up some of my outs. So kinda a little closer than I originally thought and maybe not a bad gambool for streak purposes?

Lol, a 4 flush comes out, so UTG ships the main and BB ships the side both with some pieces of cheese. I'm not sure if my A was the nut one or not.

But if there was any doubt whether I would have continued the streak I put that to rest last night with my worse loss in 1.5 years... at $528 in a 1/3 NL game, lol @ me, ldo.

what didn't you like about blackhawk, that place is my favorite

being in winter didn't help.

i like living places where i can go for walks from my front door. The Coyote Inn (1 mile from the casinos) was not adequate for that. i was not playing well and getting more anxious and depressed every day. having elite pizza next door was also a burden.

I've only been a couple of times, and not since they made the switch to NL (I was always there for the 30/60 lolimit), but I liked it a lot too.

Got to vegas yesterday afternoon. Did a bunch of scouting. Grabbed dinner at yardbird (venetian) 160 with tip which they automatically add on. This morning ate breakfast at tableau (wynn). Its spendy but has become my fave breakfast spot 120 with tip. We have reservations for Nobu (caesars) tonight.

SPC and I have worked on 2 blackjack projects together now - this is our 3rd. She will be getting set up at a few properties that I cant play.

The weather is absolutely aces here. Its been crazy in the mountains. Got a boatload of snow the past several days so its really nice to be out of that.

glgl, if you want to use the sportsbetting ticket angle, i can teach you to how to find some 1-2% EV wagers at the kiosk that you can hammer for image

@Garick

Not sure if this is of interest. Smithsonian Magazine has an article on

.

thanks dood. this trip is purely foundational. They will see nothing that is alarming. If they dont like it, its cuz im me. I will take you up on this in the future if I can get down and comped.

sadly they don't give an f about comping for sports betting

only place where that helped out was with penn - you can definitely rack up big stuff there, i never had to pay for anything at a penn hotel/casino, friend in denver who made one six figure wager there before being asked to never bet again makes a habit of taking people out to eat for nice steaks at blackhawk because of all the points that gained him

but i've been nothing but tribals last two years so out of the loop, no idea if still valid

1/2 at the Legion.

14 people limp in, I chip in the extra buck with 55 on the small blind, the old donator in the big blind lol-juice-raises to $5, the whole world calls that.

Flop 953.

I check, it checks to a middle position whoever who bets $15, I call, the nicest old lady in the world who's just back this week after being out with back surgery or something calls.

Turn 3.

I check, the nice old lady checks, MP bets $15 again, I checkraise to $40, Nice Old Lady check3bets to $140, MP folds, I call.

River whatever.

Nice Old Lady bets $100, I call.

She shows 33.

Nice hand, ma'am. Welcome back.

i'd muck faceup on the turn saying how she had quads and you weren't going to draw to a made hand.

Thanks for sharing. My sister-in-law does art deco and art nouveau , and is a big fan of Kevin Potter. She has a ton of those tools, mostly purchased from him.
