Lol, IIRC, the bet was if someone else wins 20 then I get an avatar for a month, but if I win 20 then everyone loses their avatar for a month. Someone did pull off 20 (I can't recall who that was?) and I remember wearing an avatar for a bit (designed by Fold4Once I think?).

The final orbit on session#18:

I have to cut my session short by an hour to meet my wife at a friends place for dinner, so putting in a very rigid 4 hour session with no chance of extending to keep the streak going.

I'm stuck $290 and sitting on a $230 stack (where a double up won't even get me unstuck). I put my chips in a rack when I get my Button as I always do for my final orbit. 2 limps, a laggy guy $25, I $65 to commit with AQo. Folds to him, he sees the chips in my rack and asks "last hand?", I say "last orbit". He folds.

So now I'm up to about $260 and have just enough chips in my stack where a double up gets me slightly above even.

A few hands later I'm in the LJ with KK. UTG limps. I overlimp cuz raising is stoopid. CO $20. Button calls. BB calls. As I'm mulling over my LRR size, UTG LRRs to $100. I slide in my rack. CO folds. Button is drunk and eventually calls. UTG folds.

ATxxx.

CO folded AJ.

UTG folded TT.

Drunk Button called with KJsoooted and I fade the straight.

I actually get JJ two hands later, but quietly check/fold a very multiway limped flop.

Wow sick hand lol. I actually really like the idea of racking up on your button for the last orbit. I hate winning a big pot my planned last orbit cause it looks like a hit and run. Will be stealing your move.

Also what an awful fold from TT having to only call $160 with the drunk guy’s dead money in there.

Yes, I've always racked up on the Button for my final orbit for that reason (i.e. not wanting to be seen as hit and running if I win a big pot in my last orbit). Not sure if it is a myth that the Bad Beat would be disqualified if playing the BB or SB in a rack but I'm never going to test it, lol. Get used to the jokes regarding playing out of a rack ("this is good luck, right?" is my typical line).

Yeah, he really had to call there. UTG had about $70 more than me and was covered by the drunk guy, but I think he's got to call given those odds. Legit thought I was running into AA when I saw the LRR, but thought it would also make a spectacular streak ending story so was never folding.

You make it sound like this took a lot of time and effort on your part but I think ascending to the throne in only 2 weeks is pretty impressive.

Also like the racking on the button for last orbit. I do feel bad winning a big pot as I’m about to leave, but it’s tons better than losing the stack on the way out.

i've been told by numerous people on 2p2 that if i were ever to change my (unbelievably awesome and quite apropos) avatar that they would "collectively lose their ****"

so yeah im not changing my avatar, but you and your streak is friggin' amazing!

I think I still have your temporary avatar saved on my laptop, so it couldn't be quite that long. My laptop couldn't possibly be a decade old, could it?

So I did a bunch of Hardy Boying / Three Investigatorsing of the zombie chat thread.

/aside: Man, we were all a bunch of chatty cathy's back in the day. Super weird running across a bunch of old posters who are no longer around (with a bunch who are oddly banned).

As near as I can figure:

- May 2, 2013: Avaritia actually initially proposed the prop bet (20 wins in a row, if he wins I wear an avatar, if I win he loses his avatar, for a month) between me and him (I was sitting at win #12 of what would be #15 at the time)
- January 16, 2015: fun101 wins 20+ in a row, I believe I wear a LaserDick avatar designed by Fold4Once
- February 20, 2018: MikeStarr wins 20+ in a row, where I wear that avatar above (I believe provided by Miami)

Worst winter ever. Minimal gnar shredding occured. I am quite bitter cuz I spent 8 months getting into the best shape possible 4 my age in order to do the big ski.

SPC informed me she aint dun with the gambool. So we hittin the bright lights of vegas 4 the first time in quite a while. She will be pokering. Ima try and work on my comp wizardry and see if I can pull off doing some 0 ev gamboolin whilest racking up comp $ at an accelerated rate

You and SPC have fun, squid. You're right about winter. While I was a fan of the warm weather, almost no snow the whole time on this side of the mountains too.

Water restrictions already in place, setting up for a really bad fire summer. Hope not, we'll see.

There is exactly a zero point zero chance I will be pokering. We are both out of touch with the current poker scene in vegas. Why the current aria hate? Is there a better place for plo action currently?

Aria is definitely the room for PLO.

Wynn and Venetian have good action too, but not nearly as much selection, imo.

My feedback about aria is in isolation. I didn’t play any other sessions while I was there. It was a work trip and I squeezed in a few hours a couple of times.

The players talked every decision, the pots were all tiny, most people didn’t say a word, etc
