Sounds like you're just as pleasant to be around in real life as you are online.

So you're saying he's a lot like you?

Could be, but I'm not the one getting rocks thrown at him by children.

- Disliking Seinfeld because the title character's actor is a Jew is fairly crappy, disliking it because he is a creep is fine in my book.- Sales of Mein Kampf is an interesting metric. It sells well in a lot of countries when made available. A few years back it started print again in Germany and did very well. That could be worrying and an indicator of rise in related extremis

--This is a giant segue, but the whole concept of "Arab" is actually as arbitrary and problematic as "Jew." Circa 700 AD (or thereabouts) Arab actually referred specifically to Semitic language speaking persons living in the Arab peninsula.

Then a whole bunch of conquering and colonialism happened, and some (but not all) of the conquered peoples took the language, religion, and some (but not all) parts of the culture and pretty much arbitrarily became Arabs.

The Copts of Egypt changed their religion and language and became Arabs. And the Kurds of Mesopotamia didn't and stayed Kurds.

But yes, there are very distinct regional differences. The most aggregious sexual harassment of women in the streets is known to be a Egypt/Palestinian thing. Whereas the Maghreb is known as the region where gay European men go to commit sodomy with underage boy prostitutes, etc. etc.

I looked into making a side trip there to see the pyramids but after doing some research there is no way. My friend Youseff lives there and says it’s non stop scams and hounding for tips. He says he doesn’t know a person who hasn’t been raped. The roads and driving are horrific. It’s just a nasty place. I have no desire to go to any Middle Eastern country except Israel.

Proving Trolly right.

You can just make up whatever racist nonsense you like about Arabs here on 2p2. They love Seinfeld but they're too dumb to clock that Jerry Seinfeld is Jewish. They can't get enough of Mein Kampf. lol, imagine how quick I'd get banned if I said this kind of **** about any other ethnic group.

It's kinda funny because he's mostly right. Been to Egypt, specifically went for the pyramids and would never go back.

My friend Youseff says he doesn’t know a person who hasn’t been raped.

I didn't get raped though, so I have a feeling Youseff(not how you spell the name) might not be a real person.

Elway does this. Gives him cover for blatant racism.

Amazin'!

I like how the “everybody gets raped” is after the nonstop scams.

I like how Elway has friends all around the world. He neglects to mention they are online porn chat friends.

Needs must: they are the only people available to him as friends.

It’s been a while. Can I get a quick update on who’s been banned?

Regrettably not you

Regrettably not you

Well, the two of us are moderated under completely different rules. You could take your special treatment as complimentary like you’re a hot-chick in line at the club or you could feel embarrassed because you’re being treated like a special needs child that needs a helmet. I’m sure you think you have your own set of rules because you’re awesome. Just like you thought this post wasn’t predictable, uninteresting, and not worth sharing

Poster turns up after a lengthy absence just to whine about moderation. Pathetic person.

It kinda makes sense.

How would you know? You're a brand new poster on 2p2, remember?

I’m operating under the assumption that the lengthy absence was due to a ban given out by a moderator. It makes sense he might be upset with them.

Faulty assumption. You should probably stop doing that because your hit ratio sucks.

I wasn’t banned. I got bored of this place and forgot about it. I remembered and checked in. I figured with the extended absence I missed some drama

Anyways the ******s did not disappoint. Zero info and desperate dipshit responses

On piano, I’ve noticed when I try to play full chords, it often sounds a bit heavy or stuck - and is obviously a lot harder. But when I break them into simple notes or arpeggios, it feels like the music moves more and has more space and then my brain kicks in and fills in the gaps in my mind which helps me continue the song. Which is why NES songs seems to work extremely well for me. Also, I grew up on that music.

It’s been really incredible how much I’ve fallen in love with playing piano. I tried too long to play the guitar and never really got anywhere. The piano was also rough at first, and I felt overwhelmed trying to remember and play all the keys in a song and almost gave up.

Then I started breaking songs into about five small sections and practicing each one just once in the morning and once at night. When I woke up the next day and realized I could still remember the chords, I felt like I was actually going to be able to do this. Then, after repeating that process for the rest of a Metroid song or Ocarina of Time or w/e, I was pretty surprised that I could play a full song in about a week.

Being able to walk over to the piano after taking a week off and be able to play all of Brinstar Red or the Metroid Title Theme or Song of Storms is pretty awesome feeling.

Playing an instrument is good for the spirit, or soul for the religiously inclined. But yes, it requires a lot of effort. I was a mostly a dabbler in a lot of instruments, since I liked composing music, then I started taking the guitar more seriously.

The piano is a neat instrument, because it is so intrinsically based on the temperament that is the foundation of western music after the Bach revival, and subsequently the foundation of most modern music. Knowing and understanding the piano is thus knowing and understanding the vast majority of modern music.

Why you cry like a bitch?

All I did was ask who was banned while I was away from the forum for a while. Nobody answered which is fine, but instead I’m showered with unfunny insults

I’m guessing whatever account you have doesn’t last long
