USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
Thank you
Whatever people think of my views. I really believe in this ****.
Maybe, if the US had the power to open the strait back up when they wanted to but they don't.
Does Iran have the power to open the straight back up through force?
The point is just because they declared they are pirates doesn't mean the IRGC suddenly held all the cards as Luckbox argues.
Asymetric warfare from a position of extreme conventional weakness only works if the rest of the world perceives negotiating with you is +EV than just dealing with you by force. So the IRGC has to find that balance, and declaring the strait is your toll booth may (or may not) be crossing the line.
The bottom line is this dynamic is NOT "holding all the cards"
I predict Iran will not be allowed to hold the rest of the globe hostage and closing the strait pressure a lot more parties than just the US. However, we are at the mercy of Trump and there’s always a chance he comes to a deal that is good for him but bad for everyone else.

Comments like this just depend on how much you think Trump's personal interests align with the interests of "everyone else" because the only interest that he is actually considering is his own.
Important to remember that while Vance was storming out of negotiations, trump was at a ufc event asking dana white why a fighter isn’t on his vanity card for the White House event

Pence??
I thought some dude named JD Vance was VP.
Looks like SRM finally had the stroke we were all expecting. π
Jalfreziβs entire world view is based off Twitter posts from non-experts like rappers and bots. Every time he posts itβs an embarrassment. The only thing Iran is stomping all over is their own citizens.
Youβre completely clueless about me. And from that I conclude that youβre probably clueless about other posters too.
I watch daily political podcasts made by politics junkies and read some MSM news sources, though theyβve become increasingly less reliable and more overtly Zionist,
It's also more than sufficient for my case that no-one is influence positively by being on this forum. While I think that's too strong, it is fact that the progressive left is losing and losing badly. So even losing less slowly would be better than the SRM approach. I think it's almost impossible to win much of an argument for progressive politics when 'our' political parties ar
The progressive left is losing because the right has dominated the news sphere and narrative with scare stories about immigrants, leaving the left with a choice between ignoring that and focussing on leftist policies (your position) or fighting on both fronts.
The former cedes ground to the far right racists and allows them to thrive, and the latter allocates insufficient time and resources to win against either.
I’m not advocating giving up, but its beyond hard to win this battle when so much billionaire and state money is invested in the opposition.

Arguably the biggest enemy of the Progressive Left are the Corporate Dems. (Maybe I watch The Young Turks too much.)
You’re right in so many ways. If the Dems could be nuked into space and a new party created with actual leftist policies and none of the career fool liberals it would be a huge improvement, because capitalism is failing so badly and so clearly across the globe that plain common sense arguments from the left (not liberal) can win if given enough air time, which is the hard part.
Just for DBF, here’s how your military is getting owned by Iran, in a tweet because I know you don’t like clicking and reading.
Iran has been beaten up bad and are about to get flattened.
Tankers are headed to the US to purchase oil.
The US is now in control of who goes in and out of the straight.
I know the Jihad crew don’t like it but it sure seems like the US is winning.
A tweet about a Fox News segment. I’ll take a look but I’m not holding my breath for anything meaningful or insightful.
Unsurprisingly, the segment doesn’t suggest that Iran outsmarted the Pentagon. I’m not sure who the tweeter is, seems to be some deranged tech bro who retweets Fox News segments.
The part where the US chose to go to war in the first place against a missile fortress.
This post makes no sense.
The US should have taken out Iran long before they became a missile fortress. We finally have a President willing to do the right thing. Middle Easterners should never have a nuke except Israel.

I'm replying to this and when I'm quoting this I can see you pasted a tweet but it doesn't show on my page.
Idk why, basically all I see is your sentence and no tweet.
Seems to be happening a lot with your posts, I see either part of the post or just blank post.
I'm using firefox.
edit: wtf even after I quote you I can't see the tweet.
halp!
