How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?

According to you the US is actively targeting civilians so how would civilians stepping in front of the power plants prevent any bombings?

I think the only things I said about ICE activities in the US is that they shouldn’t be shooting people and that they have been going after the wrong people.

Donut comment was really good ngl

Fireeeee ****in post my guy

is there an update on how sad these guys are right now?

Nothings gonna happen. There is probably already a deal on the table.

In reality nukes needs to be used to properly end this thing. We know how the world would react so it’s not gonna happen.

Ya I knew Taco had a deal in place.

I already explained it. It's easy to say, "Herp derp, we didn't know that was a school" and people like you will slurp it up, but when a you have hundreds of civilians on a bridge that is being targeted and the whole world is watching, it's impossible to say it was an accident. How many US citizens have to be shot in the streets of America by agents of the government before you

Sounds like a full proof plan. Someone should tell the Israelis so they can stop wasting trillions on defense like the Iron Dome and bomb shelters. Just have school children surround all your critical infrastructure and we will have world peace in no time.

Both sides are trying to frame this ceasefire as their idea, and a win. But reading through the tea leaves it seems what really happened is that China ordered the IRGC to accept the 2 week pause, and will probably spend the next 2 weeks trying to pressure them into a truce that Trump finds acceptable. All indications are Trump is already bored with this war and wants to move on to whatever his next thing is. And will probably be willing to walk away without meeting any of his so called objectives, such as he did with the Houthis and the 12 day war this summer.

As I speculated before, the IRGC destabilizing the region only works for China insofar as energy still gets out. China needs energy, and just as importantly China's customers do too. Even if Iran is still supplying China with energy, the rest of the world going through an energy shortage would be bad for China's business.

So it looks like China is going to attempt to force the IRGC to give Trump the off ramp he requires to move on. Which probably means a cessation of hostilities where they agree not to impede energy flows through the Persian Gulf.

The citizens whom have been shot were interfering with ICE operations.

Folks, I know you love your protests/riots but if you just stayed home you wouldn’t be shot.

The irony of course is that in the next couple weeks the IRGC will kill 10X as many Iranian civilians to re-establish control. And no shits will be given, same as no shits were given in January, by any Western leftists like Land O Lakes.

Iran is currently attacking Israel, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Perhaps some IRGC didn’t get the memo of a ceasefire.

So with a lot of luck trump has achieved the usa ****ing off and the straits open.

Isn't that where we started?

It’s all narrative driven for these people. They don’t care who lives or dies they only care about what the people they hate are doing. These people have no soul.

I’d say the Iranian military has been significantly degraded. That’s a good thing.

Ya this ceasefire is basically already over.

This will likely be similar to the Gaza ceasefire at the end of 2024. Buy time and plan the next big attack when they aren't expecting it.

As of now the Strait is open... as long as you pay a toll to Iran in yuan/stablecoins. I have a hard time believing that Trump and Israel will be content with that.

It just shows how big of economic shocks were coming down the pipeline that they resorted to this. Hormuz is serious leverage.

Just another example of our dumb president being full of bullshit.

by Elway m

So back again next year to do it all again? Couldn't even get all the weapons this time, they're only going to get better hidden and protected. And newer.

You're really goi g to struggle to make this sound a great victory . Ceasefire failing is more likely but still a good chance trump will **** off anyway leaving the mess behind

Maybe but the difference is that trump probably wants an excuse to be out of it. Israel will be more isolated and iran ain't gaza

Are you being intentionally obtuse?

The US has (did anyway) the image of being a civil country that will not bomb civilians and want to retain that image.

By standing on the bridge, they are forcing the US to either bomb them and suffer the repercussions on their image in the world, or they have to choose to not bomb them. Regardless of whether they give a chit about the civilians or not, they wouldn't bomb them without plausible deniability and by standing there they have removed it.

Trying to apply that strategy to countries in the Middle East that have no such image is ******ed.

by Elway m

The citizens whom have been shot were interfering with ICE operations.

That's highly debatable, but what isn't debatable is the use of deadly force for interference is against policy.

BTW, you're going to give d2 an aneurysm by using whom incorrectly.

So we agreed to Iran's full set of demands. We surrendered.

Blew some money, lost some jets, lost some men, even more injured

For?

The only cogent motivation I can currently find is market manipulation. See you guys in a couple of weeks for round 12 of the fraud olympics

In a charitable interpretation, I guess. But everything is really just on a pause.

But the US and China need to get their assess in gear because eventually the world won't have such a large energy source come from a chokehold of one vulnerable point in a chaotic part of the world - which will eventually be a good thing. Each country just needs to focus more on its own sustainable form of energy and if that starts happening from here then maybe you could argue that something good came out of this disaster.

Trump would have a much easier time if everyone just followed your lead and embraced the loving jackboot of authoritarianism.

With 2 hours to go and Iran not even flinching, Trump must have been freaking out looking for his TACO off ramp.

Pakistan came through (after nudging, no doubt) but Trump would have jumped on the ceasefire even if Saint Kitts and Nevis drew it up on a napkin. Trump didn't even wait to see if Iran accepted if before he did...

Yah, a real 5D chess guy...lol

A 40 day war in the ME instead of 20 year war would be a huge win. But I dont think either side pushing the buttons wants that.

Kinda disappointing seeing you repeat this nonsense. We dont always (ever?) share politics, but I feel like you are normally someone who can at least address reality, and not made up social media nonsense.

Assuming you are being serious, where in the world did you get the idea we agreed to Iran's full set of demands?

Unlike the rest of you I am old enough to remember Iran attacked Israel after the last ceasefire, with multiple civilian casualties. Netanyahu wanted to assassinate Khameni in return but Trump ordered him to stand down.

Once Trump set a precedent Iran can keep attacking for a time after ceasefire was called, I dont think there should be any giant surprise it happened again.

Ya boy Trump literally said the list looks workable. Probably just need to add in a point of Iran exalting Trump and it's a done deal: Operation Epstein Fury a success.
