I myself used to protest the use of that word. LandOLakes uses it often, so I ultimately started using it when responding to him.

It's okay to use it to describe oneself though, as I just did above.

In my book, it's never ok. I have LoL blocked so I don't always see it, but he's one I've seen it from before. A couple of others, too. I have a lot of personal experience in this area so it hits me pretty hard when that word is used in that way.

The word idiot was a clinical medical diagnosis for someone with an IQ below around 30; the word moron was a clinical medical diagnosis for someone with an IQ of about 60, and imbecile fell between idiot and moron - all three of which were specifying where on the spectrum one laid.
