They [Troopers] both made it sound like they worked 16 hours a day and 7 days a week with the candy business. If you’re going to do that, might as well just get a job and work as much OT as you can, or work 2 jobs.

Hiring employees to help would've likely made it an unprofitable venture. It's typical of average IQ people jumping into a business venture - they probably spent all of 10 minutes thinking it through.
On Twitter, ELD reports he would have bought the expired donuts for $4.00 but they were selling them for $4.01 so ELD passed.
Also Bill Tait tweets that he is hanging out with ELD for Superbowl Weekend.

I'm guessing they shut it down after realizing they couldn't spend 100% of their time selling candy that takes 100% of their time to make. Hiring employees to help would've likely made it an unprofitable venture. It's typical of average IQ people jumping into a business venture - they probably spent all of 10 minutes thinking it through.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they rent the commercial kitchen in order to legally selll/ship the candy online? Iirc they were able to sell at farmers markets with just a cottage kitchen permit.
I know they wanted to make bigger batches for that ill-fated Christmas gig (where they thought they'd make a windfall at the stadium) but aside from that I don't get having a commercial kitchen at all. I doubt they were making much from shipping it to a few subscribers.

Trooper with his narcissism,consistently bad decisionmaking and massively inflated ego thought it was a good idea to pay $4000 just for a spot at the event.
So just to breakeven,they would have to sell candy for a net profit of 4K. Not 4K in gross sales:net profit.That is a boatload of brittle and lollipops.
The cottage home cooking is capped at 35k in retail sales per year, which is jack **** after expenses and split 2 ways, so that is why the commercial kitchen, but that damn swamp cooler ruined them. lol

My personal guess, with no basis in fact whatsoever, was that he was trying to stay under the radar because the kitchen landlord was coming after them on the broken lease. The last thing he wanted to do was make a dollar selling candy. He wants to plead poverty and say he sold all the equipment at a huge loss. Appearing to have any money or staying in the candy bidness is just begging for a lawsuit.

Prior to Covid self-employed people losing income did not qualify for unemployment, during the pandemic they changed it and loss of income from self-employed did qualify, but I think they changed it back now.

El D, Esq. reviewed Trooper's case and declined to represent him in a lawsuit due to there being nothing Intellectual at all about the Trooper or his property.
He advised Trooper that they would get laughed out of court the same way that youtube viewers laugh at their sorry vlogs.

Filming at Costco (again) shows very little effort and zero imagination. They could live in middle of nowhere and film themselves shopping. Why not take advantage of living in a city where things are always happening?
