Very intelligent people are more prone to overestimate other's intelligence than their own. They are also well aware of their failings and limitations.

Rice is one of those who probably is slightly above average intelligence but vastly overestimates himself and can't comprehend that anyone could possibly be as smart as him. I think we can all agree that no matter how smart Rice is, it's nowhere near as smart as Rice thinks he is.

Seems to me it would suck to scrape govt-cheese quality on a Secret pizza. That stuff in the packets would prob be better.

every school is different but in general the club teams are fairly well organized and will even practice once a week - basically how to play competitive sports without needing to wake up at 4 am every day to do the morning run and practice

club teams are fully student funded and organized so it varies dramatically from school to school

at some schools that means it's people slightly more dedicated than people in intramurals, in others it's very serious athletes who don't want their college experience to be overwhelmed by training

my guess is that since wake is a big school with a good soccer program - it probably has a pretty good club soccer team each year, probably has a few players who could have been d3 players or even people who were non scholarship soccer players but got burned out

wake is good but bates is a significantly better school and much harder to get into but like most liberal arts schools a lack of televised sports means only those in academia know much about them

Abby should have joined the debate team and grammar club. This would have prepared her for future Nomadic arguments.

Also ELD should be the personal Doordash driver for the Troopers which would allow them to obtain items at night and afternoons. Having an expert driver who can drive in heavy traffic is an important asset for the Troopers supply line.

Abby still would not have defeated Rice in their confrontation as no one beats Rice in any argument or debate... at least in his own mind.

Every few months I try watching one of his videos, and almost always stop 1-2 minutes in.

Not just because his channel is in its sad decline phase. Or that he couldn’t even see the potential of featuring Andrew Neeme et al in videos. Not just because he constantly posts right wing nonsense and anti left whining (while he probably pays little to no taxes anyways).

But because he talks like he thinks he’s gonna be “somebody” from all these small time ventures.

The hat sales, Trooper Thursdays, the podcast, that gogambleworld website (what even was the plan for it?), the candy sales, and the slot machine hustling. All decent ways to try and scrape a few bucks together, no shame in trying them.

But telling people you’re HIM? As a breakeven 1/2 Vegas grinder? As a guy with a 4 figure net worth? Getting single digit likes on most of your posts on X? Getting 1k views of Costco shopping?

Club sports also compete in meets/events against other schools and travel (depending on budget). Intramurals typically kept in house playing against other students at that school.
