Let's say I was driving and DID swerve to avoid his dog and in doing so ploughed into a car and killed a baby? I think canine rabies has been eliminated in the US, but LB would need to have the dog microchipped, then vaccinated against rabies (in that order), then blood-tested for rabies and certified clear 12 weeks after vaccination, in order to obtain a pet passport for entry to Ireland.

Wouldn't it still be transmissible from other species like bats that carry it to dogs?
If your dog ran out in front of me while I was driving I'd run it over and you'd only have yourself to blame. No way would I rusk injury or crashing due to your irresponsible behaviour. You'd have one splattered mutt.
Up to a point. You shouldn't take any dog-avoidance measure that might cause an accident with risk to humans or vehicles, but if you're on an empty road with no one behind you or coming at you, you can brake or swerve so long as you keep control.
It might be, so you need to follow the procedure. Pet passports and quarantine are a notoriously tricky business.
For Colombia it doesn't seem that difficult. You need a USDA (is department of agriculture) certificate from a vet 10 days prior to leaving

They don't have good recall and he's already related more than one incident in which they became a public nuisance.
It IS the "good" recall thingy. TBH, "good" is not good enough from the encounters I have seen and been part of in the mountains of CO.

However much trolling LB does or dog walking off leash or posting about insane theories, the anti-LB crowd looks so so much worse and I mean the banlusters as well as the people who are popping veins and making threats.
