What was the deal with McVay calling a run on 3rd and 7 with 2:07 left in regulation? The 2MW was gonna happen during the punt even if the play doesn't take 7 seconds, so you literally gain nothing clock-wise by running there, and the play had ~0 chance of going for a first down.

I don't think McVay isn't good.
I think he's overrated and makes bad decisions, and is overly conservative.
But like, I wouldn't be upset or anything if he suddenly wanted to come to Miami.
McVay is a top 5 HC ITL imo
does he do dumb **** from time to time? sure, but you can say that about every coach
just goes to show how tough the job is and we really only get to see about 30% of it
A few people I follow on twitter were saying that the timeout usage by the Bears was horrible to call it after 2nd down, which gave the Rams the opportunity to throw it but then they bumbled it back by just running.
I didn't hate Williams running OOB all that much, because it looked like he had a head of steam going to make sure he made the line to gain, and just too much momentum to stay in bounds without risking he wouldn't get there. Then again I only watched the play once.
