Can the houses actually remove pardon powers from the president, with enough numbers? The best thing, if the dems have the numbers and the will (which is a big ask) is to do this first, then do the impeachment.
Why would the Dems do that? Eventually, they will be back in power and want to abuse the pardon power themselves.
As for impeachment, you keep saying it like it means anything. Trump was impeached twice and people cared so little about impeachment that they put Trump back into office. There is zero chance he would ever be removed from office.

I'm not sure if you were living in the US during the biden years, but it was even worse then. No shot any media member would ask biden about the long-term effects of his hard work allowing a massive number of illegals in the country, the waste/fraud/handouts that came with green energy giveaways, going back on his promise to not pardon his son or why he fought so hard to increase crime in the US via defund the police/cash bail/reduced sentencing and mass illegal immigration.
Hell he was so gone during his presidency that media members knew not to ask him even simply questions like what he had for the lunch the previous day.
I agree with you that it is a shame politicians and others in the fed gov't aren't asked real questions. Why was nobody asking the Fed why they thought inflation would be transitory or after it became obvious they were wrong why didn't they ask why the thought that or if they truly believed it when they said it? Why hasn't anyone asked the Fed how much holding interest rates near 0% for so long hurt the average American and how do we make sure it doesn't happen again? Or why they print money at 3x the normal rate during/after covid to support the massive expansion of the fed govt.

Trump gets questioned harder than any president in modern times. There is nothing he does that he isn't ripped for by most major media sources.
He gives the poorest of working Americans a massive tax cut (by raising the standard deduction) and the media convinces those people that they should want to pay more in taxes because trump is trying to reduce their taxes. Trump highlights fraud in the fed govt and all of sudden half the country supports fraud. Trump supports Isreal and now the US is home to more fans of Hamas than the Dallas Cowboys.
