President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

How 'funny' would it be if this works

Seems the smart thing to do in America is if you get in trouble is to claim you voted for Trump. I'm curious how they revealed his vote.

oh boy, what a spanner

I continue to be astounded at how utterly weak the level of jourbalistic integrity is in the US. Ask questions guys.

'Mr President, do you believe asylum seekers have been released from mental asylums?'

how hard is it to ask that?

People do ask those sorts of questions. He just lies, deflects, or insults the reporters. Trump has been fact checked and described as a liar thousands of time by the mainstream U.S. media.

It literally says his own lawyers said it to make the pardon argument.

What are you curious about? You think they’re lying?

United States of Dystopia...

Can someone at least grammar check his posts? Fkn embarrassing.

It says lawyers revealed Cole voted for Trump. How did they reveal this? By saying he did?

I don't care if they are lying or not. My point remains that it seems prudent for any criminal in America these days to 'reveal' they voted for Trump.

You are probably correct, and this should be far more of a red flag for you than it seems to be.

I've posted repeatedly how the presidential pardon system is broken and should be removed. How much more of a red flag should it be? Please answer with a shade of red, the darker shade the higher level of red flag it is.

JFC the dpsht thinks something's wrong with the pardon system, but not the president that abuses his authority.

It boggles my mind to watch these dfs in action. It really does.

Imagine being supportive of a system that is so ripe for abuse. I'm sure this guy supports learing centers too.

by housenuts

Jjou asked a bunch of questions. I'm not sure if he has answers to them or they are just questions. But apparently if you don't know the answers to them you are stupid.

I put no such limits on your stupidity.

There is something wrong with both imo.

Yes. The system is broken and ripe for abuse and orange man is abusing it.

Imagine having such severe TDS that you only want to fix orange man, but not fix the system.

I suspect that there is broad support here for limiting the pardon powers of the president.

Except for George. He thinks there's nothing wrong with the pardon system, and thinks you're an idiot if you do. Special person.

Obviously. Df up there sure didn't mention Trump though. Odd.

As there should be. There should be even broader support for removing the president.

they want to maintain Dems ability to pardon child traffickers.

'removing' would be best

Can the houses actually remove pardon powers from the president, with enough numbers? The best thing, if the dems have the numbers and the will (which is a big ask) is to do this first, then do the impeachment.

That would be fine with me. I understand the original rationale, but it's mostly just a tool for abuse now.

It would require constitutional amendment. 2/3 vote in both house of Congress and ratification by 3/4 of the states.

Predicting that the Dems win big in the midterms and try and impeach Trump what do they impeach him for?

12% chance impeached by end of 2026 but fairly low volume.

6% by June 30 with very low volume.

Waste of time. His supporters want the Constitution trampled. That’s why they chose him. And the Republicans in the Senate have proven they are devoid of character or principle so they’ll never convict.
