The murder of Charlie Kirk

Can we all admit that the majority of extremism is coming from the left over the last handful of years?

Telling people that God’s perfect law on human sexuality calls for homosexuals to be stoned to death is not a political statement, but rather a religious one. And such a statement could be viewed as a threat, much more so than a statement like “God says you’re going to burn in hell.”Telling me the god you believe in thinks I’m going to go to hell

The distinction is moot in this case since there is apparently no evidence that Charlie Kirk advocated for the stoning of homosexuals:

Cliffs:

THE CLAIM:

Turning Point USA CEO and co-founder Charlie Kirk said gay people should be stoned to death.

THE VERDICT:

FALSE

I suspect many American conservatives are less enamored with Deuteronomy these days, given that their political paragon, president Trump, is an adulterer.

LMAO, Chuck just can't help it. He is addicted to defending Nazis and child diddlers.

OH Look, Bob is channeling his inner Victor.

Same message, day and night. No let up.

Poor KS, he hasn't realised that I am just reacting to all the every day garbage posts. But thanks for removing BJ and even for the right reasons.

....with no substance added. You will be gone shortly if all you add is insults.

it says a lot about you that you're willing to ban me before all the Nazis and pedo defenders. Guess banning BJ was just a lucky coincidence then. But whatever, I'm sorry for all the insults and I won't insult anyone any more.

This is bad-faith bullshit. Kirk made it VERY clear when attacking MsRachel that God’s perfect law on homosexuality is clear; they should be stoned to death. He then repeatedly quipped “I’m just saying. I’m just saying.” Like an immature brat who knew exactly what he was suggesting but didn’t have the guts to come out and say it.

Let’s dig a bit deeper. MsRachel interpreted the scripture to mean that she should love everyone no matter what. Kirk could have chosen that love-filled interpretation, but he didn’t. He chose the hate-filled one that allows him to say, “God says homosexuals should be stoned to death.”

I’m surprised someone didn’t try to blow his head off sooner with that kind of hate-filled rhetoric coming out of his mouth. Instead of choosing love, Kirk chose hate. And that hate found him.

Could the moderators pin this please? Thanks!

I agree with you here. Unlike BobtheSlob you are not a troll and often provide substantive posts.

by geezerchess

I agree with you here.

Me too.

Humble apologies to you, V.

I wasn't much of a follower of Charlie Kirk, so I don't have a proverbial dog in this fight.

I'm just pointing out that a secular fact-check organization (Snopes) disagrees with your interpretation of what Kirk said.

no worries

You obviously cannot read. At no point did I advocate for murder.

You did, and you subsequently did it again here:--

I’m surprised someone didn’t try to blow his head off sooner with that kind of hate-filled rhetoric coming out of his mouth. Instead of choosing love, Kirk chose hate. And that hate found him.

I don't believe that TheBigEasy was advocating for murder in that post.

No, I didn’t. Twice.

If I said I was surprised that a guy juggling hand grenades didn’t get his hand blown off, I would not be advocating that he get his hand blown off. I would merely be surprised that he didn’t get his hand blown off. It’s not a difficult concept. You cannot possibly be this stupid.

In my opinion there is no reasonable interpretation of your posts that would suggest that you were advocating for murder of anyone.

And 57Red certainly ain't stoopid, but he is certainly mistaken in this case.

by 57 On Red

This argument also applies to the pro-murder rhetoric you have yourself just used.

Really? Did I use it here as well, Copernicus?

by TheBigEasy

No one should have to watch their father get murdered. Those poor kids lost their dad. The shooter should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

How do you know it was performative and not genuine?

In a 2018 interview with the Rubin Report, he argued that politics should be advanced through a secular worldview and there should be a separation of church and state. He said the imposition of a Christian version of morality through government policy, was wrong.

But in 2020, the desire to break any links with neo-Nazis and the lockdowns from Covid-19 marked a turning point and he pivoted from students to church goers.

Snopes should never be taken seriously.

Wtf do you mean?

The fact that your impression meter did not start at -1000 should make you ask: Am I, like Formula72, a babbling centrist? Do I often find "good" aspects about horrible nazi pigs like Kirk and his grifting widow?

Never? Please defend this line of thought.
