I would expect a numbers guy like you would be able to tell us about the effectiveness of the left wing media’s radicalization efforts if a significant portion of the left is nuts as well. Are they successful at radicalizing 10%, 1%, .1%, .01% of the nutty left?

Snopes and others "fact checked" this and if you look up their fact checks on this matter I suggest you sit down first because you aren't going to like it. After you read the fact check you are going to feel really stupid and/or gullible and that is ok. You are not alone as there are millions of others like you that drank the kool-aid and now believe some kid walking around talking about politics with those who oppose them are evil. Don't feel stupid or naive because dems tricked you into believing something so stupid - they worked very hard to convince you that using logic and reason while discussing politicis is evil.

I don't think you are giving dems enough credit here. They invested a lot of time, effort, resources and money into convincing some of the dumbest in our society that trump is a nazi/facist and charlie wants to kill gay people. Their efforts paid dividends in 3 assassination attempts between Charlie and trump as well as got an insane amount of dumb people convinced that all repubs are bad people and if a family member is a repub you should stop talking to them.

bahbah conveniently forgetting the recent attacks/shootings carried out by conservative nutjobs (Minnesota congress members, Michigan church, vehicles driven into crowds of protestors, etc.), but that’s not really surprising.

Can you provide any examples of people on "the left" who "supported" Kirk's murder?
By "left" I mean anyone on the political spectrum from Hillary Clinton to Che Guevara. By "people" I mean someone of consequence, like a politician (any level federal, state, local) or a talking head, etc. (not some rando from the Twitter derposphere ). And by support I mean promoted the murder as something that needed to be done or defended it as good thing to have happened ( being indifferent, talking about it while at the same time not denouncing it, or even saying in light of Kirk's rhetoric they understand why he was killed is not counted as support).

The hilarious thing is a giant chunk of the right doesn't even believe the TR story lol They are running wild with some crazy ****. Every single thing now gets spun into a conspiracy/social media click frenzy.

Lies are better for business. You don't have to do research, which saves time. Phrasing doesn't matter, so you don't need finesse. Nuance is not necessary, so you don't have to hold back. And best of all, you can tailor your claim perfectly to your audience, unlike facts which are often more complicated politically and ideologically.

The icing on the cake is that social media has a 2-minute attention span, so very few people will care that you lied to them yesterday.

George Abaraonye, the former and now deposed leftist president-elect of the Oxford Union (possibly the world's most famous university debating society), who had actually met and debated Kirk, which makes the whole thing even more appalling, cheerfully celebrated the murder on social media by saying, on a WhatsApp group, 'Charlie Kirk got shot, let's ****ing go,' and, on his Instagram account, 'Charlie Kirk got shot loool.' Note that this was almost certainly after viewing the widely available video footage of the murder -- which I have declined to watch, but which is apparently very shocking. The conscienceless Mr Abaraonye -- who evidently felt confident of peer backing in the student body, and that backing probably only dematerialised because of the media reaction -- has of course subsequently tried to claim it's all about him because he 'received threats of violence' after his appalling remarks -- yeah, but he didn't get a high-velocity bullet in the neck, though, nor was he ever likely to in England -- and also claims it's sort of OK because he issued an apology. Still, he's toast and unlikely ever to be heard of again, which is all to the good.
