the problem with betting is that it motivates hands you want to fold to call and hands you want to call to fold
if you cr, hands that think they are good, like top pair, shrivel up. they shrivel up more if you cr flop small to squeeze out a little more and then bomb turn.
I'd just call the turn raise as played but we are still destined to get stacked by bigger flush most of the time.
Flop check would be better. If you bet, go larger.
