Compared to second-term Reagan, who really didn't know where he was, who he was or what he was doing or saying half the time, Trump's not that bad yet. And as far as we know he doesn't get hog-whimpering drunk on brandy and start demanding the nuclear 'football' as Nixon tended to do of an evening. If he deteriorates, we will of course depend on the people around him to say 'Yes yes, there there' and do nothing, as under Nixon and Reagan, though the people around Trump are probably a bit less reliable.
