I started growing my own lettuces. Much better. In photo is Green towers romaine, dark lolla rossa, winter density lettuce, sandy lettuce, black seeded simpson, and butterflay spinach (some chocolate cherry tomatoes in the back)

and I get it. we live in capitalism. we all gotta make money some how. but finding some kind of balance has been really important to my happiness, and I suspect it's the same for everyone(at least everyone with a soul)
but yeah, we're all kind of in the exploitation business, one way or another :(

I was born tone deaf to a tone deaf family. It took literally decades of singing and playing guitar but I finally started to hear better like ten years ago and now I can actually sing on key (sometimes).

my family is gifted musically. it's just me who's tone deaf.
it still tilts me bitterly that my sis(rip) sang the national anthem at the giant's game and didnt' change the lyrics. I sang it in my apartment and posted it on YouTube "oh say can you see, genocide and slavery..." I forget the rest of the lyrics. but you get the picture.
tbf, it would take a lot of guts to sing the altered lyrics in front of a stadium full of people. but I guaran ****ing tee you, I would have done it!
just took a looooong walk to calm down instead of drugs/alcohol. I feel so healthy

Oh how i miss the $10 days and free kids meals.
When i was first out of college and would go to Olive Garden sometimes for lunch I would drop a $5 and that covered food, soda and tip.
one of the craziest for me personally, when I was a kid, as late as like 1984 bleacher tickets at the giant's game were one dollar, and every Tuesday night game was half price!
even the expensive lower box seats(best tickets) were $8

For me personally I don't think I would follow horse racing, but apart from that I'd ne pretty open to give it a go.
If I can bet on it, I can follow it.
Also, I love LAFC, the LA soccer team. Why? Because every time they win at home, Chick-fil-A gives out free chicken sandwiches.
