There is also an aspect of; Kamala stood on stage and told America about projects 2025 and exactly what the plan was and they ignored her because they found her off putting for whatever reason (laugh, woman, black, DEI, unqualified, voice, whore) and even today if you point that out the response is “I don’t think she should say “I told you so”” so there is a measurable portion of people who just want to cope away reality by deflecting any sort of blame themselves

You’re deeply confused about the issues that were up for consideration in the 2024 election. “Lots of legal immigration and seasonal work visas” was the position of the Democratic party, not the Republican party.

“Lets put violent criminals in jail and repeat offenders” is not something the federal government even has jurisdiction over, let alone the fact that Trump promised to pardon violent criminals and did.

“Lets treat everyone with kindness” is obviously just not Trump’s position. I agree on the trans athlete thing as far as not having them compete in women’s sports at the collegiate level, but ok you have one issue? Who is “mutilating kids”? Do you mean puberty blockers or the HRT approved for people above a certain age?

“Lets have Democratic primaries” uh there was a primary. If you are criticizing Biden for not participating in primary debates as the president, well how much more can you criticize Trump for not participating in primary debates? He was anointed by his party. By the time they switched to Kamala, there was lots of fundraising done and she had put in the behind the scenes campaign work to secure delegates. Sure, there could have been more of a process, but are we seriously saying that you would have voted for a different dem candidate? That seems doubtful to me.

Probably nothing, their poor decision making makes sense talking to Trump voters/conservatives here and elsewhere. Like they literally thought Trump was going to lower prices and thought it was a lie that inflation was way down by election time. Trump supporters were quite homogeneous intellect wise and you have about as much chance of teaching them that price levels now are no surprise with Trump as you would algebra or anything else.

Most the ignoramuses were doing relatively okay and when their lives get continuously measurably worse they will be looking for an exit plan, as always happens. We just have to hope that Republicans don't corrupt the system so much that we can have legitimate elections in the near future. Thats literally the only thing stopping the pendulum swinging back so hard that people end up in jail
