President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I just read that the Republican could pass the continuing resolution without any votes from the Democrats, via the reconciliation process which only requires a simple majority.

Is this actually correct? If so, why is no one mentioning that?

It would be a bad strategy to use the reconciliation process to fund the government. Normally that is used for a huge omnibus bill and to get certain programs funded. You only get about 4 cracks at a reconciliation bill per presidency, so it’s not generally used to keep the government funded.

How / why is this the case? I can't imagine the Senate has rules based on presidential terms.

Since when do Republicans care about stuff like this?

It’s based on their legislative sessions which adjourn and are called, also based on past parliamentary procedures.

They didn’t break the reconciliation rules last time they had the trifecta. It’s not a great thing to do because it could mess up a lot of stuff. But you’re right, they are more unhinged this time around.

Didn't they do it for the big ugly bill a few months ago?

Right. Like I said it’s based on their legislative sessions not calendar year.

‘Imagine living your life being this stupid cuz you’re mad about Bad Bunny’ as presented by MAGA’s Eric Dickerson:

"I'm from the U.S.," Dickerson said. "I love my country. And if you don't like the United States, just get your ass out of here and don't come over here."

When Dickerson was reminded Puerto Rico -- where Bad Bunny's from -- is a U.S. territory, he still stood by his stance.

"I know Puerto Rico is part of the U.S.," the ex-Rams tailback said. "But, it's not the U.S. That's the way I look at it. That's the way I feel."

lmao

this reminds me of the stories of cops pulling over puerto rican drivers and not accepting their driver’s license

talking of unhinged, that Bondi thing to the oversight committee was appalling. Literally no oversight given to anything, just personal attacks on the questioners Surely that's an insta-firing in a sane USA?

Why are fiscal conservatives seemingly totally fine with the insane amount of money being wasted right now?

It’s just spend spend spend, with no end in sight.

Because they gave up every ounce of their being to be told what to think and when to think it

Sooo, worth the money then?

Let’s not forget about the tariffs! This party bitches about taxes nonstop but is totally fine getting fleeced via 4D chess tariffs while destroying American farmers. Higher prices, more inflation, billions sent to Argentina, etc. #WINNING

****ing morons.

Cracking down on crime in liberal metropolises instead of the places where crime is the worst (conservative bum towns)

You dimwit, they aren't cracking down on crime. They are militarizing cities to squash any opposition to the regime.

And, by the way, the crime you care about is low level street crime, which is fine. But, remember, dear leader is a convicted felon and we have now learned that it's ok for anyone in his administration to accept bribes. That's just a couple of examples of the criminals leading our country now.
