I can't fathom any result but the Dems caving on this shutdown - what repercussions could possibly happen to Republicans that would motivate them to negotiate when they control everything?

The Dems should pass the CR and let all the Obamacare rates go up. Than the voters will be pissed on both sides and you win the midterms. If the Dems think the GOP will cave and give assylum seekers free healthcare they are nuts

Illegal immigrants represent about .8% of all hospital visits and the number is nearly identical for ER visits

The health care professionals do not want 2 things:
1. To have to refuse humans emergency care, because thats inhumane and antithetical to their hypocritic oath
2. To have to worry about angry aggressive ******s in masks arresting citizens in a hospital so they can then arrest someone receiving medical care

The Dems don't want to give "free healthcare to assylum seekers" you are actually being objectively dumb as **** right now and then you complain when people call you out for it

Were did I say that its a large number. I argued that a better strategy for the Dems would be to pass the CR and than yes millions would have their healthcare costs rise dramatically on both sides and I am sure those folks will be pissed and may vote based on that . Yes its a scare tactic by the GOP but it works when the American is paying $1000's in healthcare coverage while the asylum seeker gets it for free . You think Trumps gonna give in ?

From the polling we have so far, the republican strategy of tying this to immigration does not seem to be working as a majority of Trump supporters back extending obamacar.... Imagine how dumb that argument must be if even a majority of Trump supporters ie people who thought tariffs would bring prices down, are not cognitively deficient enough to buy it.

The 2018 midterms were historically low error in polling. Which is not to say that is predictive or that opinion polling doesn’t have massive issues ie do we really think enough Trump supporters understand what Obamacare subsidies even are, can’t be lied to by mags into thinking they are only for illegals and actually hurt rural whites etc?

you can be very smart in gaining a phd and still be proficient in only 1 language.

at my age , writing great in my second and 3rd language isnt a priority anymore tho im trying.
