The murder of Charlie Kirk
Can we all admit that the majority of extremism is coming from the left over the last handful of years?
Apparently they j
what the hell Ezra Klein scoops it up with a freaking instant masterpiece in the NYThttps://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/11/opini...You can dislike much of what Kirk believed and the following statement is still true: Kirk was practicing politics in exactly the right way. He was showing up to campuses and talking with anyone who would tal
But you donβt agree with this. So why are you pretending you do?
I think I just stated some plain facts there. Where is the warping in your view? I can even get advice from you because you are too vague. What am I supposed to tell the psychiatrist? Some guy online told me to get help that's why I'm here? What evidence am I giving the mental health professional as to my disease?
I imagine the cope is that he wants to make certain views illegal because they are objectively despicable so itβs ok. And while heβs making marxism illegal heβll still leave up nazism because itβs not as much of a threat. or something.
I think that yellow band is too big. What Leftist has murdered anyone? I'd like to dig through those cases.
Furthermore, Islam is not separate from conservatism. All that Islamic action is actually rightwing most likely. What is the justification for having a separate category for Islam when that is a religion, not just a political ideology. Islam is a pretty conservative religion.
Charlie Kirk after the kidnapping attempt on N. Pelosi, and subsequent attack on her husband, Paul:
“If some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to really be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out… Bail him out and then go ask him some questions.”

And still..... no on one the left was out saying let's seek revenge on conservatives. Or anything even remotely close. There were only calls for accountability -
Progressive and liberal voices largely emphasized the need for:
Legal accountability for DePape, through prosecution.
Political accountability for those amplifying conspiracy theories that fueled the attack.
Some commentators accused right-wing media and politicians of fostering the environment in which such violence occurs, but even strong criticism stopped short of advocating violence in return.
Your attitude is you want to make certain views illegal but I only ever hear you mention marxism. Never fascism or nazism.
I certainly would require state action to swiftly eliminate anyone who wants to eliminate a racial group and starts acting toward achieving that actually, not sure why you think that wouldn't be the case.
I don't mention it much because I suppose everyone is on board with sending troops to assassinate anyone who has plotting to kidnap and kill a lot of citizens of some race they hate. and I think that's the law already as well.
I hope I am not wrong.
same would apply with people who are taking action to suspend elections and so on (actual elements of actual fascism that would violate the actual constitution, not the generic "what the left dislikes is fascism").
I don't want to make any view illegal, only actual subversive actions (that can include violence on property ofc).
like if some people start to think it would be a nice way to "protest" to have some military vehicles explode well, that's something we are supposed to be able to act to prevent. even if they don't intend to kill anyone
So it does indeed appear like Kirk was hit center mass and it ricocheted off his bullet proof vest
You can see his vest under his shirt and you can see his shirt is the first thing to move with it jumping outward from his chest before the wound appears on his neck
Now, I'm not a physicist so I'm not going to eliminate the possibility that this was simply caused by the velocity of the bullet, but thats certainly how it looks to me watching frame by frame
Investigators now have the name of person of interest, according to three sources, though no arrest warrant has been issued. Authorities posted images earlier Thursday of a "person of interest" and asked the public for help in identifying the individual. A law enforcement official said investigators have "good video footage" of the suspect and also recovered the weapon used in the shooting

I seriously doubt from the angle of fire that it caused ricochet like that. Itβs more likely it was just a little recording mic like everyone is saying he usually wore.
Would never happen on the right.
Matthew Dowd Fired from MSNBC Over Charlie Kirk Comments: Reports
https://people.com/matthew-dowd-fired-fr...
This is what he said on air:
“He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups," Dowd replied. "And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think that is the environment we are in."
"You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and not expect awful actions to take place," he continued. "And that’s the unfortunate environment we are in.”
Meanwhile, Trump was on air < hour after the shooting blaming the left, w/o evidence, and stoking more division and hate, rather than just condemning this kind of violence.
Until they tell you about the Facebook account they haven't posted on in a decade, and don't tell you about the X account that they use constantly.
Are we sure forcing people to hand over social media is enough? Maybe we need to hand over personal and work email accounts as well. After all, you never know.
And how exactly is this going to work at customs? Is everyone going to sit there while the customs officials search seven social media accounts for Charlie Kirk (plus anything and everything else we decide to add to the list)? That sounds like a recipe for 20-hour wait to get through customs. And what are we going to do with the person whose social media posts are in Norwegian?

that's supposed to happen when the Visa is issued and the consulate or embassy.
if you are asking about citizens of countries with visa waivers, then yes tradeoff decisions have to be made.
you either go like today with them signing a form , but adding denying ever publishing any content which is unamerican (and giving an extensive and comprehensive definition of that clearly stating if they are even in the slightest doubt they qualify they shouldn't enter the country) nd so on (and then ruin their life completely with brutal criminal prosecution if ex post it comes out they ever made unamerican claims in any published source), and/or you sample one in 50/100/500 at the frontier.
afaik main social media has a translate button and there is google translate available (or many professional automated services) for foreign languages.
keep in mind this can be all easily automatized once you have the accounts and passwords and then whatever the AI flags, a human checks

Rush Limbaugh got fired from ESPN (resigned) for saying the media wanted a black QB to succeed. Which was worse? Honest question. ESPN hiring that clown or his comment?
