Poker "Lost Media"
For the past couple of months, I've been reliving some old boom-era stuff from the 2000s, and I've been disturbed to fin
I would like to watch such videos. I think it could significantly improve my game.
Another one you can't find anymore is the Showdown at The Sands event from 2003. Rumor has it PokerGo takes it down sometimes even though I don't think they actually own it. Pretty sure it was a Fox Sports broadcast.
would love to find a decent recording on VHS of rare shows like these and clean them up.
Tuff_fish videos. Back in the day (2006?) I downloaded everything "visible" from his website (fstln dot com). I'm fairly certain some of them were never uploaded to Youtube. I might still have them all on an old PC, not sure. Real good stuff, though. The tilting, the swearing tirades, the horrific decision making. The unlikely heater followed by the mathematically certain downfall. Classic mid 2000's Party Poker action.
I love these NBC HUs, where we all pretended that Brad Garrett, Don Cheadle, Gabe Kaplan and Phil Gordon are good at poker
I have the 13 part documentary series from like 2003 called "Beyond the Felt" that I doubt most of you have ever seen, but would certainly love. If anyone cares to watch and i can figure out how to upload it to 2p2 for you all i will.
Speaking of PRR, there was a funny episode in which Gavin Smith was super hammered that never ran. Justin Shronk said the file got corrupted or something like that, yet a bunch of people suspected some massive conspiracy that had Joe Sebok or Barry Greenstein not letting it out.
If I remember correctly that episode ran live, but then they never put it up afterwards. I was actually staying with Shronk for a couple weeks that summer and left from the rio to take a cab to the airport a few minutes before they were about to start that episode. It was so long ago I don't remember the reason it wasn't put up, though I'm sure he told me.
I know I have some random episodes of PRR on an external hard drive, but nowhere near the full set. I remember sometime after pokerroad ended someone put them all up for download (may have even been you)
I've definitely seen the 2005 WSOP TOC on YouTube, and I'm fairly sure it was on the PokerGo channel but I could be misremembering that second part.AtariRob's post reveals my personal bit of lost media: the hard drives (both main and backup) that held every PokerRoad Radio, Big Poker Sunday, Poker Beat, All Strategy and Cash Plays episode pooped out on my last year. Speaking of
I remember the big archive used to come from a folder from Jimmy Fricke the "Mark Lovin" saves of PRR. Then I went I on a deep dive and found a lot of the missing episodes on a random server. A lot of times you can search archive.org and doing some deep digging you'll find lost stuff like this one.
There is a lot of gold and dirt in those PPR shows. I know there was stretch near the end when Jeopardy GOAT James Holzhauer was a part of the B Team hosting. I know there was one time the group having a serious talk about how Bonomo was very open about being being with young boys.

There is a lot of goRight. What are you saying here lad?
(Do you want to edit the post for clarity?)
remember this video but what did they actually have here?
looks like a 3 or 4bet pot with 38Q flop? but i cant see what they actually have here.

I'm saying amongst many of the spicey subjects from that podcast that could get one canceled these days. There was a topic of discussion once how Justin was pretty openly talking about his love of young men at the Bellagio. Its in the archives.
The show was ahead of its time, but a lot of it was very guys club locker room stuff. There would be twitter outrage from some of the things said back then.

I'm still not what sure you're getting at.
I live in the UK so we do things slightly different here. (Though you may be here too idk!)
It all depends on what you're classing as 'young'!!!!!!!
I used to work on a poker TV channel, Sky Poker. It was 5 hour live multiple times per week for about 8 years. It followed an online tournament or cash game in real time, we had celebrity guests, news and our own live tour with high light shows.
Virtually nothing exists online now of it. We ever had a few live cash games in the studio. All gone and can't find any trace.
There was a poker talk show in the UK too hosted by a comedian.
I'm not sure why the full archive of the 2p2 pokercast is currently unavailable.
I get the website has changed ownership since the show finished
But there is 0 way the whole back catalogue has been deleted forever!!!
(Though I'm no IT expert 😀 )
I have often wanted to watch the headsup battle between TJ Cloutier and Dutch Boyd for the Razz bracelet back in 04 or 05(?). Some of the worst poker I've ever seen.
Does anyone have a copy of the 2000 Poker Million?
I was the technical director for the first couple seasons of Ultimate Poker Challenge shot at the Plaza. It was the first syndicated poker tournament show at the beginning of the boom. Ratings were quite good for a show that ran at 2am in a lot of markets. It was a lot of fun to work it. The director that worked my last season on it went on to direct Who Wants to be a Millionaire, The Today Show and several shows for the Game Show Network.
The calm before the battle...

John Phan won one for about 90K and bought the crew drinks after the show, then he followed us up to the director's hotel room and couldn't resist jumping into the crew $20 tournament.

The guy in seat one was our video engineer and took most of Johnny's chips. Seat two was the show's director.
Man, I just wanna see Huck Seed's 1996 Main Event final table win.

Very much could be me to whom you're referring. I uploaded the various PokerRoad podcasts to an upgraded Dropbox account that Joe Stapleton graciously agreed to pay for. I kept the account goinng for a few years, then discontinued it, which also meant I had to take everything down (due to the reduced capacity of a basic account). Totally regret it now but at the time, it seemed a waste to keep paying $12 a month if no one was using it.
A person who posted as "feihua" on the old PokerRoad forums has a collection of 30 episodes on his YouTube channel right now:
.I've got over 300 episodes of Poker Road Radio, starting from the 2007 debut with Bart Hanson hosting through to 2011. They're saved as mp3 file podcasts in iTunes. If someone is interested in some episodes and can explain to me how to format them for uploading to a website, I'd be happy to give it a try.

Do you have any other content in your archives?
I'm looking for unavailable cardrunners and galfond stuff
