President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

If he gets his way on this no mail in voting, then next time I promise to go in and vote straight dem down the line. I've been voting by mail for 20 years in a red county, I'll be super pissed if I have to waste a lot of time going in on a specific day.

Do they have in-person advance voting?

In Canada, I always go vote in-person like a week before the actual election mayhem day.

Voting on election day is ******ed. Giant waste of time, but I get the average pleb gets 3 hours off on that day to vote.

There is early voting in the US. Trumpers don't use it because they want to cry fraud when machines going down, etc., on Election Day.

The issue, of course, against forcing in-person is because it's a form of voter suppression. Trump demanded that AZ require in-person voting in 2020, then when he learned that a metric shitton of Q-tips vote red by mail and would just not vote at all, he stated that AZ has secure mail-in voting and they are okay. It's all bullshit and Trump votes by mail himself.

After everything trump did , that is what would be changing your mind ?
Nice trolling …

in Italy there is no mail vote and no advance vote, and only pencil and paper. voting day is actually two days though.

it's a crime to enter the booth with a device that can take a photo.

I understand Italy is less advanced overall than the USA but given we are world champions of illegality maybe a country like the USA should take notice of what, over the decades, our institutions did to avoid/minimize vote tampering and vote selling, which was rampant in mafia controlled areas.

anyway, these are determinations states must do in the USA

[Italians with official residence in foreign countries vote by mail: they have to send the vote far in advance, and they are all opened when voting closes and the vote isn't valid if it didn't reach the Italian office where it is going to be opened before election day]

So good to hear you don’t regard yourself as an average pleb.

In Italy you vote one way on the first day then the next day you try to cancel it and vote for the opposite I guess.

not sure what you mean. we have a register of all citizens (anagrafe), and "voting registration" doesn't exist in the sense it does in the USA. You go to the location assigned by your residence address and they copy down the photo ID number and cross over your name, and stamp your voter roll document (another, separate document you bring to vote).

If you try the next day, 1) the same people will be there so you can be recognized (and each voting place has 1000-1200 people registered to vote there) 2) your name has been crossed already from the tab they have 3) your voter roll document has been stamped already.

My joke may not have landed but at least you earned another Euro for typing a reply.

Who cares if Trump ****s little kids, our country and other countries. If I have to walk my fat ass over to vote I am done voting for this rapist.

Computer, enhance...

Definitely sums up what they're all thinking, listening to ****-for-brains ramble on about nothing.

Absolute Boomer mentality. Politics is all a fun silly game until I have to walk a few blocks.

That’s also true of non voting young people, of whom there’s always been many.

As good a time as any to flog some merch. Great businessman.

Securing the integrity of the democratic process should be more important than "voting" at your convenience.

That's not real is it?

I knew taco had a small penis but wow if that's real it's basically non-existent.

Lol, of course it’s real. He proudly shows it to everyone.

The person who wrote that is not well.

they're certainly not wrong

https://apnews.com/article/trump-border-...

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Tuesday that the entire border wall along the southern border with Mexico is going to be painted black to make it hotter and deter illegal immigration — and she credited President Trump with the idea.

I’m sure this is a totally smart idea and not just another blatant grab at more taxpayer $$$$.

Yeah. That's quote is deliberately intemperate, but not nearly as far off the mark as I wish it were.

so many American vets must be asking themselves what was my service even for

must be an awful feeling

I really hope the lacklustre performance during his birthday parade was a show of the discontent the military feels, and the madness of these deployments just adds to it.
